Lordmandeep
Three big things to watch will be what happens on the North of The Wall, King Robb and Khalesi.
cozmeesah
Hehm...anyone else see this in the HBO Spring preview clip before the show last night: Totally surprised they put that in there. I mean, that they spoiled it, not that they put it in the show. Edited April 1, 2013 by House Cozmees of Everdeen

4815162342
HBO’s Game of Thrones returned Sunday night to its most-watched episode ever. The third season premiere delivered 4.4 million viewers for its premiere at 9 p.m. and racked up 6.7 million viewers for the evening after its two repeats were tallied. That’s up 13 percent from its first airing last year and represents a record for the show in both measurements. Despite heavy publicity and a rabid fan base, odds were stacked against Thrones setting a record. TV viewership historically dips on Easter Sunday, and Thrones ran head-to-head for the first time with the heavily anticipated The Walking Dead finale, which has a demographically similar male-skewing audience (and also set a series record last night). Give that Thrones premiered against the wind, I suspect Thrones will beat these numbers a few times this season (and could it surpass True Blood as HBO’s most-watched show?). http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/04/01/game-of-thrones-premiere-ratings-3/
Lordmandeep
HBO shows are usually much more watched then normal ratings as there shows stay popular for years afterwards on DVD and the Internet. I think more watched Soprano's after it ended then when it started lol
DeeCee
Good ratings in Australia as well. 95,000 for the first broadcast at 4:20 in the afternoon and then another 109,000 for the prime time broadcast at 8:30. It's not on a basic channel in Australia so you have to buy all the movie channels to have access. As a comparison TWD is on a basic channel and had 133,000 viewers last week."Unless you've been living under Casterly Rock, it has been hard to miss the fact that season three of the fantasy series Game of Thrones launched in the U.S. and Australia yesterday, with Foxtel subscribers who are signed up to the premium ShowCase channel able to watch the show, legally, only two hours after their North American cousins. And they did. In droves. Delivering Showcase’s biggest audience ever as well as their biggest share of the total subscription television audience ever."Read more: http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/box-seat/thrones-takes-ratings-crown-20130402-2h45e.html#ixzz2PHy7qCL3 Edited April 2, 2013 by DeeCee
AniNate
Glad to see a more mature Daenerys so far. Her entitled teen act last season drove her down my favorite character list. Pretty intense scene between Tyrion and Tywin. Not often we see Tyrion so thoroughly humbled and vulnerable.

Totem
WOW great season opener! I'm so fascinated by anything happening north of the wall and with Daenerys. Astapor looked very good, very well done.
DeeCee
My main disappointment in season one was the Dothraki horde or lack there of. It's great to see the proper scale of things now like the wildlings camp and the unsullied.

Ariadne
Really enjoyed the first episode, but can't wait for the next one. Liked: All of Dany's scenes, they're really rushing through her story, I didn't think we'd already be at viewing the Unsullied so soon. Great to see Ser Barristan again, it'll be interesting to see how they deal with the changes with Jorah How will Dany find out he betrayed her now and they've skipped the kiss scene between them I think, will that still happen? . The Tywin/Tyrion scene was brilliant, Charles Dance rocks.
