According to the Shepperd-Fox Theatrical Agency, Andy Beckwith will “shortly begin shooting the fourth season,” resuming the role of Rorge. Rorge was last seen at Harrenhal, in the season two episode “The Prince of Winterfell” when Arya was searching for Jaqen H’ghar.

 

Kate Dickie is confirmed to be filming this year by her representation, Hunwick Hughes, who also mention Daniel Portman‘s expected return as Pod Payne in the same news section. Dickie was reported to be filming last year as well for season three and it is believed that scenes involving her character Lysa Arryn were cut before airing.

 

And finally, sources have unofficially confirmed for WiC that Dominic Carter will be returning in season four as Janos Slynt, the former Commander of the City Watch who was forced into the Night’s Watch by Tyrion in season two.

Is the show planning on using Zombie Catelyn? Bc I heard she wasn't in the finale.

 

I finished Book 3 but haven't started superbook 4-5 yet because I'm reading WWZ. It really shouldn't be taking me this long to read that one but I've been so busy. But I think mentally it is good that I'm giving myself a 3-4 week break in between books 4 and 5. Gotta clear my head of that world for a bit.

Pedro Pascal has been cast as Oberyn Martell! Pascal is a Chilean actor who most recently was seen in the TV shows Graceland and Red Widow. Oberyn Martell, aka the Red Viper, arrives in King’s Landing from Dorne and stands to play a pivotal role in the events of next season.

 

 

ETA:  I'm already sick of the word "diversity" on the fan sites.  What, a Chilean guy isn't "diverse" enough for them because his skin isn't as dark as they'd like?  The Martells have olive skin, he does.  People who pictured them as middle eastern/Indian were just stupid to begin with.

Some non-spoiler backstory information about his character:

 

Oberyn Martell is the younger brother of Doran Martell, the Prince of Dorne. He has built up an infamous reputation as a womanizer, playboy, warrior, daredevil, etc and he has a very carefree, brash personality. When he was a teenager, he had an affair with the wife of Dorne's second-most powerful lord. When it was discovered, the lord challenged Oberyn to a duel, though because of both of their high rank, it was only to first blood. Both combatants drew blood and the matter was considered settled...until the Lord's wound inexplicably festered, rotted, and led to his slow and painful death, drawing suspicion that Oberyn used a poisoned blade. Since then, he has been known as the Red Viper of Dorne.

 

Both Doran and Oberyn were siblings of Elia Martell, who was married to Rhaegar Targaryen. Elia and her two children were murdered by Lannister forces (Elia and her infant son by Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane) when King's Landing fell in the rebellion against the Mad King.

His daughters are also called the "Sand Snakes." GRRM said that culturally, Dorne is basically Spain.So all the fans crying that this actor isn't enough of a POC need to shut it.
