Just wondering whether it's better not to discuss the existence of characters in the later books.  Kind of suggests they are going to survive this season.

 

We have a GoT Books + TV thread somewhere on here that should be used for that.  Haven't seen it on the 1st page in a while though. :lol:

So here we go.We were treated to a live orchestra that performed the theme song live.Then Common arrived and rapped a few songs from Game of Thrones mixtape. It was ok. Audio sucked hard.Then we were given a Q&A with George RR Martin and a few cast members.Without finishing the first question, Martin quickly answered "I'm working on it". Good laugh.It ended with Martin giving away an actual "Throne chair". Someone in the section next to mine won. Amazing fucking chair.Then we got a recap of the entire series. The red wedding got the best reaction.Onto the episode 1 of season 4.Good episode. I'd say it sets up the season pretty well. The last 5 minutes will be an instant classic in the series for sure. It appears most of the clips in the trailers were from this episode btw. There wasn't anything "major" I would say. Perhaps they knew this episode would get out on the internet eventually.8.5/10. Good start that sets up possible scenarios this season.P.S. Those dragons. Oh My.

It all culminated in Martin giving away an Iron Throne to a randomly selected audience member who then joined him and the cast on stage.That chair costs $US30,000. (You canactually order them from the network.)Martin claimed he has two thrones of his own.

Cool. I also heard (from a report of the premiere event) that in the episode near the end

Daenerys and her army encounter a slave nailed to a cross pointing the way to Meereen, like in the novel

Does this occur?
