acsc1312
Dragon Tattoo's trailer cinematography alone gives me an eyegasm every time I see it. I also hope Contagion can somehow sneak in a nom. It's still the best cinematography I've seen all year.War HorseTGWTDTTree of Life (Probably should win, but won't)The ArtistContagionMelancholia/DH2 as switches

Travod
I want Dragon Tattoo to win of course but I'm pretty sure it's War Horse
Noctis
Dragon Tattoo doesn't deserve to win. What deserves to win is Tree of Life.
CoolioD1
Huh? Neither of you have even seen Dragon Tattoo. Stop talking.
Impact
I still think True Grit should of won last year. Though thats not to say Inception didn't have good cinematography either.
CoolioD1
Black Swan should've won it last year obv. Though I would've loved to have seen Roger Deakins finally win.

acsc1312
Deakins should've won for O Brother (and many films before that). It all came down to TSN vs. Inception last year and I think the right one won. Black Swan was good, but not at the same level as TSN or Inception. Dragon Tattoo has much for potential for Cronenweth with the snow/exteriors. I think he'll win it. Tree of Life is very beautiful, but I think the momentum will be gone. Worse Horse might win it if it doesn't win anything else big (see: Inception).

It was definitely between True Grit and Inception and True Grit was the one most thought would win. And Black Swan was soooooo much better than both those films photography wise, should've won just for that opening dance sequence alone. acsc1312
I could've filmed Black Swan in a basement with the lights off and it would've looked the same. Ok, that's an exaggeration, but still. I did really like it but it wasnt deserving of a win IMO
Noctis
DH1 had more effort put into the cinematography than any of the nominees. Sorry, but it's true. I'm just grated it was snubbed from a nomination when it was hands down one of the most beautiful films of the year.
