OMG.

Yeah, it's time for the same thing to happen to actors. It's called equality (as well as karma).

Pairing Amy Adams up with the decade-younger Henry Cavill is one of the few cool things the DCEU has done. And so casually too. If only she got anything to actually do in those movies

She falls down from big heights. A lot.

So serious question - now that the trailer is out and getting traction (I saw a story about it in virtually every entertainment site I visited today, plus in some general news sites that don't usually devote articles to trailers) -

Will it end up hurting the film that the first trailer only came out three months before release? Is that something that has impact even after people have seen it?

I'm just curious because I saw people mention this as a downside. Theoretically, is Assassin's Creed better off having had its trailer out for a while?

I haven't really seen the trailer gaining much traction on the social media sites today. Although that could be because of the End of Brangelina dominating the entertainment world today and rendering everything else irrelevant.

I don't know, I thought actors did this thing called acting.

You guys complaining about mundane things like them not looking the same age reminds me of a Harrison Ford quote when he was first starting out.

[after his first screen test] The studio guy told me, "Kid, you have no future in this business." I said, "Why?" He said, "When Tony Curtis first walked onscreen carrying a bag of groceries -- a bag of groceries! -- you took one look at him and said, 'THAT'S a movie star!'" I said, "Weren't you supposed to say, 'That's a grocery delivery boy?'".

Actors act.  They make you believe that they are in love or that they are father son or mother daughter.  Age is a silly thing to get hung up on imo.

No, absolutely not. The online entertainment world always gets tied into knots about this sort of thing, but IMO regular people don't even start paying attention to what's gonna be released in December until, say, Thanksgiving.

Not so fast

Let's let the movie come out first, THEN take a firm stance on this trailer situation that we totally believed the whole time

99% of the public, in other words, not nerds like us that dissect the 58,000 that Snowden made this weekend, don't pay attention to when a trailer came out, if it was too soon, if it went through reshoots, if the stars hated each other, who had pizza for lunch and who died their hair on set.  all they care about is if the movie looks good.  Passengers trailer has done enough to get people interested....the rest is all smoke filled, coffee house crap.

The lucky person in that pair isn't Amy Adams. The lucky person is Henry Cavill. He should feel blessed that WB gave him such a stunning romantic interest.
