So, looks like there's going to be a feature film version of Ratchet and Clank.

Here is the teaser:

Here is an article from IGN:

Based on the synopsis, it's going to be a film version of the events in the first game.

I am about as big a fan of the series as you can find, and I'm not sure what to think of this.

Lol, the teaser looks exactly like the games look. Always loved the games, especially their humor, they're quite funny. The PS3 games have reminded me of Pixar movies too with their graphics. Will be hopefully optimistic for this.

1. Is this getting a wide release? Like Pixar/DWA/Blue Sky/etc?

2. Wikipedia says its being distributed by Sony Computer Entertainment. Is Sony Pictures really distributing and that's just wrong? Or what?

Why wrong? Its on a Sony platform, so makes sense to be distributed by them.

Sony Pictures and Sony Computer Entertainment are different. One distributes games, the other movies, thats why I was asking why the game distributor was releasing it instead of Sony Pictures. Edited by jandrew

It's good to see that this movie is still being made. I guess we will see the movie around Spring 2015 or September2015. I think there's still time to market the movie.
