Although this hasn't gotten anywhere near TFA results in any of OS markets, TLJ seems to score some good results in Europe, Australia and Japan. Europe in particular really does deliver when it comes to box office earnings.

It's a good film with plenty of humor and interesting action sequences. However, I can't help the feeling that some of the premises promised by the plot fell flat when it comes to the execution aspect.
Why put Ragnarok in the title if the plot only partially treats of it? A way bigger chunk of the story revolves around Thor being stranded on some a remote planet than actual Ragnarok taking place. Don't get me wrong, I totally liked everything that happened on Sakaar, but I just wish I could have seen more of Asgard and its Ragnarok. The biggest letdown for me was the way the character of Hela was handled. We have Blanchet doing everything she can (who looks great!), but, again, Marvel cliches come in the way and prevent Hela from being an actual villan rather than a yet another, bitter, one-dimentional anti-hero who's evil just for the sake of the plot. Cate tries her best and gives a commanding performance but not once have I though "oh f*, these Asgardians are gonna die!".
Other than that, I liked it a lot. Thor and his muscles are great, humor totally worked for me (can't count how many times I chuckled or straight out laughed), plus I can't wait to see what the story has in store for Valkyrie.

This movie is.....just there. I can't help the feeling that this film just fell flat at some point and that
SpoilerBridget Jones-like ending scene
was one, bitter, sour, untasty cherry on top.
Both actors give try to make something out of it, but the script lets them down. TheirSpoilerromance
feels somewhat forced and I just didn't buy into that. It had some potential, but at the end of the day, it's an OK movie and it deserves its mediocre reviews tbh. C

TFA continues to dump on the competition in Europe! About $460,000,000 in income in the EU alone and it's bound to cross the $500 mln threshold sometime soon, being the 3rd film to do that so far, and the only non-Cameron movie. It goes without saying that it's a monster OS, too bad the exchange rates hurt its gross. The current situation in countries like Russia or Brazil when it comes to the rates is an utter joke, heck even the euro and pound values respectively just suck so hard and seem to drop more and more every day. Ugh.....-

Not really. Traditionally Xmas days are knows for having their own trajectory and it's kinda hard to straight out judge the performances movie pull on those days. However, what can be said is that in some markets there are ZERO, NADA, NIENTE, no screenings lets's say on the Christmas Eve or 25th of Dec. People simply don't go to the movies that day. The Boxing Day is another story, prepare for a shitload of bucks in income.

Trailer was kinda meh, hope they work up on the dinos a bit in the post production, Having said that i absolutely loved the JP vibes and even though it could've been seen as reductive with the same score I'm more than willing to go to see it on the big screen.

I'm in the minority and I know most of y'all are gonna come at me for saying it, but fucking yes, it's Hunger Games' best entry so far. I fucking loathed the latest book, it was a lazy written atrociously paced bore to read through for a vast part of it, its second part was a good read though imo. Nevertheless, this film killed me! As gorgeous as ever Jen totally nails her role as Katniss, Same goes to all the cast, great performances from Woody, Elizabeth, Julianne, Phillip, Josh, Natalie, Sam and the rest. Absolutely ate up its darkish tone, setting and the music - omg the hanging tree got me haunted so much. MJ1>CF>>>>>THG
It sailed past CF gross here in Poland during its openign weekend despite a far worse exchange rate. A Potter-like opening!

Didn't quite know what to expect from this, as I hadn't bother to read about the reviews and the plot prior to going to the theater. I only knew about its box office success. As far as the story and the premises of the film go, I think this is a good movie that never tries to be sth else than it is. I feel like the movie knows its target and doesn't try to take itself too seriously. It's meant to be lighthearted, goofy and full of cliches.....and that's what this movie exactly is. However, that doesn't mean it's not a good film. Quite the contrary, I had a blast watching it. Some things were too predictable though ( the 3 lives concept, once it got introduced to set the supposed stakes and highlight the danger to the characters trapped in the game, I immediately knew that they'd all end up with only one and that ALL of them would make it without a scratch in the end and go home)
All in all though, I give this movie a solid B+. A new Jumanji-like story with a refreshing tone to it, full of gags and good performances from the main cast.
