T1 kicks the shit out of T2. It's just badass beginning to end.
-
Yeah what happed to that James Cameron.

97% of movies are predicrtable in fact I never understood exactly why Avatar got so much of this predictable argument compared to other movies.
Maybe so but I can't think of another movie so rife with tropes and clichés.
Anyway bashing Avatar is passé. It was a solid movie and I'd probably go see a sequel. But definitely not my cup of tea.
-
Could be going to one of the other moons and I bet Cameron will introduce a new unseen technology. Look at T1 to T2.
More emotional wank? I don't think you could squeeze any more of that into Avatar...

Avatar's framework is scriptwriting 101.
Maybe that's why it's so predictable.
-
The entire framework of Avatar is lackluster. No script can fix that.

Yep, saw it really late last night. Enjoyed it a lot, but the sound was way too loud for my taste. Looking forward to the Blu-ray where I can have control over the volume. The IMAX screen is amazing. For those of you needing a real IMAX screen in Vegas, I can now confirm that the IMAX at the Palms Hotel is legit. Seats were very close to the screen and the screen was probably 50 feet tall with a more square shape than the HDTV shape you see in LieMAX theaters. Definitely a real IMAX theater and I am happy I got to see the visuals on such a big ass screen.
Argh I hate super loud movies. TDKR was almost too much. STiD was shamefully loud. Or maybe that was just too noisy. There's a difference.

Awesome. Superhero movies just ain't right without Superman. Super fatigue my ass.

Unbreakable was solid.

Mel Brooks invented raunchy comedy.

Used Cars invented raunchy comedy in like 1981. By Zemeckis, no less! Well, it invented it for me.

Well, on the bright side, it seems like a pretty damn solid hold for FF6, so maybe we aren't quite doomed, yet.
Yes, a sterling example of high culture...

Elba would be in his mid 40's by the time they could get a BP movie out, but yeah he'd be great. RDJ wasn't a spring chicken either I suppose. An older dude might be better as BP anyway, he is a king after all.
Anyway, I'd get him in Avengers 2 and make him awesome. He could have a Hulk-like breakout.
-
And yet much less interesting than Ricardo Montalban.
Cumberbatch might have made a damn fine Spock, now that I think about it. Not a great villain though.
-
If you like yelling, lens flare, and explosions, you'll like this movie. In every other department it sucked hard. Why is this Cumberbatch guy a thing? He just squints.

Chris Pine was not a worthy successor to this man at all.
Yes well, neither was Shatner...

But BKB didn't make those predictions based on actual analysis and careful thought. He made those predictions based on "OMg1MArvElRulezzzEVERyThing11!!!MARVELdaBESTEVAH!". It just happened that things happened as he predicted them. That's why he will continue predicting things like "Ant-Man will outgross Avatar 2, Star Wars VII, and JLA combined. I mean, duh! It's MARVEL, bitches!"
Bah. BKB is biased as hell, but so are most of the posters here. His bias just leads him to be right more often.

Hey, Marvel is the smart bet these days.

Spielberg killed it with JP but the script was lazy as hell. As far as effects go, it will live on as a true icon because they freaking brought dinosaurs to life. You couldn't see that shit in your national geographics.
Avatar on the other hand, meh. It succeeded in bring an alien world to life, sure, too bad the world looked exactly like earth.
Titanic left more of a legacy in effects than Avatar.

yeah, minority or no, I'll take "You're terminated, fucker" over John Conner's incessant squawking and balling.
