Took a peak in at the  the 11:30, 11:45 and 12:am in 2D and 12am & 13:15am 3D showings at my local - screen sizes from 25-300.  There is one ONE non wheelchair seat left in each screening.  Walk ups will have to wait until the 60%+ filled 1:05am showing .  Crazy they haven't added later shows

My local theater added 3 1:45 showings once all of their 12-1am showings sold out

That theater is fucking crazy, it looks very likely to sell out every show this weekend.

I've never actually been there, but I assume it's a pretty good AMC? (assuming you're also in the Seattle area).

I'm actually in a burb South of Seattle called Puyallup. AMC Lakewood is the closest theater to me with Recliner Seats.  Now these are smaller theaters (due to the Recliner style seats), but yeah.  It was pretty much all sold out 1-2 weeks ago, but they added another screen to the mix on Monday (There were showings on THursday and Friday prime time that only had 2-3 seats filled).

Updated sellout report in Seattle (asterisk denotes theaters I did not track for TLJ):

Compared to The Last Jedi as of Wednesday afternoon

And TFA as of Thursday morning:

Even accounting for the difference in Fan Event, Endgame is thoroughly trouncing TLJ. The TFA comparison is trickier because that had so many 3D shows, but at the least I think that 2D showtimes sellouts are gonna come close to matching its sellout percentage even with almost 90 more showtimes.

AMC Lakewood has added another screen during normal movie going hours, and tacked on another showing with the rest of the other screens (several 12:30/1 am showings)

You can't lock 400DOM and Billion after OW even with these numbers. Reactions are good but they aren't buzzing like BP either.

There is also potential frontloading from the Endgame tie in stuff. Now that thats done how many repeat viewings are there going to be? (haven't seen the movie yet myself).

The movie is a success based on OW alone with a 152 budget but legs aren't guaranteed especially without holidays or summer.

Spring break starts this week and goes for several weeks for many kids, could lead to higher dailies/weekend numbers.

    WHAT

I need to hear more of this

Ahh the drama.  I think if I am rememberinjg (This was 7-8 years ago). He (or someone else..Mr X?) lost his sh*t and started to delete archived/historical threads etc before he left.   He deleted several of my favorite threads, which pissed me off at the time.

  6. Different kind of movie from Frozen.  This leans more to 'boys' i guess.  So that it makes a bit more than WiR makes sense.

What does surprise me is BH6 possibly not opening to much more than WiR. It still could hit 60m given the anybody's guess nature of animated Sat bumps, but it probably won't. I thought that was like the floor for it with WDA's current momentum and the marketing for it.
