Took a peak in at the the 11:30, 11:45 and 12:am in 2D and 12am & 13:15am 3D showings at my local - screen sizes from 25-300. There is one ONE non wheelchair seat left in each screening. Walk ups will have to wait until the 60%+ filled 1:05am showing . Crazy they haven't added later shows
My local theater added 3 1:45 showings once all of their 12-1am showings sold out

That theater is fucking crazy, it looks very likely to sell out every show this weekend.
I've never actually been there, but I assume it's a pretty good AMC? (assuming you're also in the Seattle area).
I'm actually in a burb South of Seattle called Puyallup. AMC Lakewood is the closest theater to me with Recliner Seats. Now these are smaller theaters (due to the Recliner style seats), but yeah. It was pretty much all sold out 1-2 weeks ago, but they added another screen to the mix on Monday (There were showings on THursday and Friday prime time that only had 2-3 seats filled).

Updated sellout report in Seattle (asterisk denotes theaters I did not track for TLJ):
Compared to The Last Jedi as of Wednesday afternoon
And TFA as of Thursday morning:
Even accounting for the difference in Fan Event, Endgame is thoroughly trouncing TLJ. The TFA comparison is trickier because that had so many 3D shows, but at the least I think that 2D showtimes sellouts are gonna come close to matching its sellout percentage even with almost 90 more showtimes.
AMC Lakewood has added another screen during normal movie going hours, and tacked on another showing with the rest of the other screens (several 12:30/1 am showings)

You can't lock 400DOM and Billion after OW even with these numbers. Reactions are good but they aren't buzzing like BP either.
There is also potential frontloading from the Endgame tie in stuff. Now that thats done how many repeat viewings are there going to be? (haven't seen the movie yet myself).
The movie is a success based on OW alone with a 152 budget but legs aren't guaranteed especially without holidays or summer.
Spring break starts this week and goes for several weeks for many kids, could lead to higher dailies/weekend numbers.

So are there any hard numbers yet which is why people are starting to slide into doom and gloom?

Are Weekend actuals staggered like this?

162 million would put it at #7 of all time biggest weekends.

You've got some good memory, X deleted over 65% of my posts at BOM that October day, he posts on the regular at KJ, all is forgiven.
Well that is good, If I remember right, he deleted Archangel's Lord of the rings mega thread. That torqued me up,

WHAT
I need to hear more of this
Ahh the drama. I think if I am rememberinjg (This was 7-8 years ago). He (or someone else..Mr X?) lost his sh*t and started to delete archived/historical threads etc before he left. He deleted several of my favorite threads, which pissed me off at the time.

This movie should do well in China

WOM is going to be interesting. I'm not exactly sure if kids are going to love the movie; even though parents and people over the age of 15 should like it a lot.
Cinemascore 35+ A+. 25 under is A

My kid has a baymax shirt, the 3 inch baymax figure, the deluxe flying baymax with launchable Fist, and several big hero six books, stickers etc.
I think they are doing quite well.
Disney needs to handle Baymax right in terms of merchandising, theme park presence, television and social media through the years. Baymax can be bigger than Stitch.

Titantic. How long that movie just kept on trucking in the theaters
Box-office totals that make you say "whaat?"
- I find it hard to believe National Treasure 2 made $220 million (adjusts to $250m)!!
- Meet the Fockers - $279m ($357m adj!!)
- Anaconda adjusts to $120m
- Big Hero 6 has been the most silent $200m earner of all-time.
- Paul Blart adjusts to $165m
-
Gah, I wish I had done this. Many of my favorites that were in the 200-300's would have charted much higher.

Yeah I am, the kid really wants it.
I am disappointed in the lack of phrases that Baymax says.
I saw the 'plush' baymax for sale somewhere.
Are you gonna pick it up?
Also, I know it's silly to be disappointed, but I really am. It's a lot harder to find Baymax toys that aren't him in the armour. I think a Baymax pillow of him in his normal mode would be awesome.

Kid has asked for deluxe action baymax for Xmas.

Different kind of movie from Frozen. This leans more to 'boys' i guess. So that it makes a bit more than WiR makes sense.
What does surprise me is BH6 possibly not opening to much more than WiR. It still could hit 60m given the anybody's guess nature of animated Sat bumps, but it probably won't. I thought that was like the floor for it with WDA's current momentum and the marketing for it.

If you believe that fan video about how all of the pixar movies are part of the same universe... Imagine the cross over you could have.
-
I can totally see that, but the bigger deal for me is seeing the magic/wonder of my kid watching this on the big screen

Someone mentioned on another board that we are having a tough time with a new story to a new generation, like andy had a tough time giving up woody to Bonnie. Many of us grew up with woody/buzz, & having a hard time with the next generation being able to have adventures with woody/buzz

Little comment also
The most popular new character of Toy Story 3 can't even being included unless they write the daycare into being significantly related to the plot.
Hail Keaton btw
Easy to write in if Bonnie still goes there.

There was rumblings that Disney wanted to grab Hasbro for its boy-centric toy lines (GI Joe/Transformers)
Big Hero 6 if successful, will allow Disney to expand their boy centric merchandise which is currently Cars, Star Wars and Marvel. They've got girls cornered with Frozen, princesses and Disney Channel shows but for years they struggled with appealing to boys.
-
You already do, with Bonnie. They are Bonnie's toys now.
Might be difficult to accept because we didn't grow up with Bonnie.
You cant have Toy Story without ANDY.
Fuck Bonnie. No jk, shes cute and all, but you have to have Andy. They will ALWAYS be his toys.
