After watching all the evening news coverage, I just didn't like the constant comparisons of the violence in this film and previous Batman films to what happened yesterday morning.These were the horrific actions by one demented sick individual, no need to villianize an entire comic book franchise to sensationalize an already shocking and disturbing tragic event.

or not to a college class the day after VTI don't get that. How is it insensitive to go see TDKR? The killer was a psycho and used this event to his advantage. It's the equivalent of saying I won't go on a plane because of sensitivity to 9/11.

I don't agree with bunching TDKR with that, but thats just meWhen things settle down I think people will see this as another example of the 'trilogy curse' that we see so often nowadays. I think it's just too tough to come up with three great films with the same creative team. I've seen 'first film is good, second film is GREAT, third film kind of sucks' too many times now. First three Spider-man films, the X-Men films, Original Star Wars trilogy (although this goes WAY back of course and Jedi wasn't TERRIBLE)...and now Nolan's Batman films.

Drove by the most popular theatre after running some errands around 9, parking lot was packed to the brim. About the fullest ive seen it, granted I live in TN, so it probably doesnt make much difference

Instead of the media asking if these actions are a reflection of film violence and blaming the movies, they need to think about if these films are a reflection of society's violence.
