I have been looking forward to this third installment ever since someone revealed its part of its main plot years ago,
saw it yesterday, the whole storyline is quite predictable , no big surprise, yet it gives this franchise a fitting conclusion. not bad at all.
personally I think it will be hard for studio to squeeze more juice from the story of Hiccup and Toothless to further this franchise(movie wise)

Honestly, it was a bit surprise for me when I saw ' Ludmilla Drago' on the cast list ,didn't expect Brigitte Nielsen to reprise this character .

just came out of cinema with friends, dam,I don't think those scores given by RT critics is right on the spot.
this piece is no great comic movie for sure, but it is also not that bad at all. my friends and I enjoy it a lot.
btw: I never read one chapter of DC,Mavel comic books, never watch an episode of DC cartoon, watched a few episodes of marvel cartoon, never watched any single intact episode of dc or marvel tv drama, never purchase any dc or marvel toys or merchandise

24 millions?
oh, well

In whole MIP franchise lasts over 20 years, fall out is the best.
the prediction i made 3 years ago regarding the evolved relationships between Julia, Ilsa and Ethan came true.

I like first one in 2011(Rise), and consider Reeves did a great job with Dawn,
just out of cinema , I have to say War is a solid work to conclude this trilogy. and I think I understand why the boxoffice is poor( compare to Rise and Dawn)

Looks like I probably won't be able to see Dunkirk again in the theatre.
Why? what happened?

Dunkirk is not really a war drama, so the Hacksaw Ridge comparison seems a little flawed. But $60m would be a great result for Dunkirk in China if it's able to reach that kind of number. TDKR made $50m and TDK made $0 in that market. Every dollar helps when you take big risks. Dunkirk is the riskiest large budget project of Nolan's career.
tdk didn't even get a chance to be released in PRC.

It will end with $230m. TF4 made this number by 10 days.
sorry to bother you.
TF4 got away with $320m in 2014, you mean TF5 will get $90m less in china? (when the run is over)

Oh no, not at this point...
You mean the final figure will even lower than 765M WW?

What do you think of TF2,3 and 4? I mean, if you were let down by them, then it's not Bay's, but your own fault to let a TF5 disappoint yourself yet again.
I expected him to keep defecating, and he didn't disappoint me

Michael Bay, he never fails to not to disappoint you , when you expect him to keep defecating with his 'work'.

I have a feeling little girls are going to come out in force on Saturday.
Great WOM might give a Saturday bump also.
that is possible
judging from what I saw today, many young ladies & middle age like madams attended WW session
and i don't think too many female give a dam for NBA final like I did (until recently)

as usual,it has lots of action scenes, which is quit good
the plot......., well ,after all, this piece of wood is from a tree called" fast and furious series"
it is an ok movie

take a guess --- How many Autobots Optimus Prime gonna kill ?
-
It was not so easy for me
towards the second half of the film,I had to force myself to temporarily forget everypiece of Marine/Army documents/archive,one dozen published combat history(Okinawa) plus several Japanese imperial army documents/published combat histories(Okinawa) I have collected/purchased and read in past 17 years so I can watch Hacksaw Ridge in 'peace'.
I will say this,-----Hacksaw Ridge is a good movie, nothing more , nothing less.
-
a really good movie. even better than Coraline and ParaNorman
kind a shame its box office got such low figure.

While we are waiting I highly recommend the YouTube video above. I see layers in this movie beyond even this.
And history will be kind to this film. Hope the video goes viral.
I think we shouldn't post that youtube clip in this thread, it may contain spoiler
I will post it in the BvS spoiler thread
