What popular actors can you think of who have had only one truly iconic performance (or performances throughout one franchise)?

Star power is having less relevance by the minute, but if I had to name a few:
Brad Pitt
Sandra Bullock
Leonardo Dicaprio
Tom Cruise (despite what everyone thinks)
Melissa McCarthy
JLaw?

The main lead is a young woman isn't it and they haven't hidden in that in the TV spots. I think it will probably be more 50/50 and family skewing.
But people are going to think of it as a George Clooney movie rather than a Britt Robertson movie, aren't they?

You know what's bugging me? Deadline's article says that Tomorrowland is supposed to skew heavily towards females like PP2. I'm expecting it to look more like Avengers than anything else, demographic-wise.

I feel that the film could have weak legs. WOM looks like it will be weak with those reviews, plus Clooney isn't a guaranteed draw. I mean Gravity's success was due to stellar reviews and I think Bullock got more buzz from it. I feel like Britt and Raffey are going to be the main factor in its strong WOM rather than Clooney. If Britt can reach J-Law popularity (unlikely), or at least Margot Robbie/Dakota Johnson-level buzz, then the film could be remembered as hers rather than Clooney's. But right now, I don't feel much more hype for her than I did for Taron Egerton with Kingsman.
It's really lucky to have a PG rating. If this was PG-13, I guarantee this would be massacred by San Andreas next week.

What if Mad Max grosses more than PP2 total domestically?
Highly unlikely.
Internationally, though, MM will beat PP easily.

Does PP2 have a shot at breaking the $220 million Alvin 2 record for a female-directed movie?

I was thinking PP2 vs TFIOS. The two big chick flicks of the past two summers (and Paper Towns is not going to take that title away from PP2.)

PP2 really doesn't have any competition, so it has as good a chance at repeating #1 as Tomorrowland has at getting it.
Mad Max could do well now that the girls who saw PP2 have more room on their schedule.

I'd be shocked if JW wasn't a hit.
Plus I think there's enough distance between it and JP3
The biggest thing working against it is that Netflix releases OITNB that weekend.

I guess it's just that there's less "tentpole" flicks for women. I mean this year we have 50 Shades, Insurgent, Pitch Perfect 2, and MJ2. Last year was Divergent, TFIOS, and MJ1. Plus I think women seem more unified on their favorite movies while guys are likely to be split on it.

Oh, crap, I forgot she was in Twilight. It'll be her highest non-Twilight movie that's for sure. Ditto with Banks and THG (+ her VO role in Lego.)

-Biggest opening by a female director (50 Shades of Grey) - Unlikely but could take 2nd place ahead of Twilight
-Biggest opening directed by an actor (American Sniper) - Not happening
-Highest grossing movie directed by an actor (Passion of the Christ) - Not happening
-Highest grossing movie directed by a female (Alvin 2)
-Highest grossing movie directed by an actress (Unbroken?)
-Highest grossing musical (Grease)
-Biggest opening for a musical (HSM 3)
Plus it'll probably be the highest grossing movie in all its' stars careers save for Banks. Records are Into the Woods for Kendrick, NATM3 for Rebel, and True Grit for Steinfeld.
