Do you plan to see FB3?

    OPENING WEEK-END : 40 ~ 55M$

    TOTAL US : 100 ~ 140M$

A start between 40 and 55M$ for a total between 100 & 140M$ according to the first estimates of this site. Rather fair, only word of mouth can make the film get good legs up to 150 see beyond.

$500M+ worldwide secures fourth film; In Europe & Japan, the film certainly still has a powerful strike force. I wonder if the publication of the last trailer of Hogwarts Legacy (in trend since last night) can give a boost to the film.

  3. The film exceeds $500 million worldwide, if it does, the sequel is guaranteed. It remains to be seen whether cinemas in China will start to open again by April 7..

The film if it is in the same budget as Dune ($165M), the latter has collected $410M worldwide in total and will have its sequel, I think a result in the 500 will be decent.

What did you hear in December?
    Thanks for your return :)

    But?

It's not too bad, right? I don't know the impact of the wizarding world in China. I just thought I understood that word of mouth is very important there, maybe a good surprise to come, the film looks much simpler and more magical.

Dune Part 2 is confirmed with almost 400M$WW (165M$ budget), so if FB3 cross 450M$ line too, i'm pretty optimistic for a 4rd movie.

Aucune infraction signifiait!

Oh okay, that happens sometimes aha.

Yes we will see, the first images of the film should already give us some indications.

Cruella is a pandemic-era release -- the same metrics don't really apply -- and of course a Disney legacy I.P. is a whole different, less risky proposition for them -- Disney has announced that they will commit $33 BILLION to content-making next year(!).

Do I make sense in French?  😉

This is to tell you that if a third opus despite the pandemic has been set in motion and finalized, it is because Warner believes in it, or at least knows, that it will not lose money.
And why be derogatory? I am French yes, but not an idiot.

The last movie made amost 500m OS alone (with only 57m coming from China), and that's with a pretty bad reception.  So clearly plenty of people care about this franchise. And in a world where China apparently banned Marvel movies there is a good chace FB3 ends up adead many of them worldwide.😂

Look this, a pretty good analysis.

FB2 was not killed by audience, not at all.

    The legs were pretty good.

The budget should be a little smaller for that one.
Cruella is a real box office flop and will have a sequel, Godzilla & Kong have relative scores and will have a sequel, as plenty of examples.

I think the film will get an honorable score here, but the fourth will happen no matter what, the Harry Potter universe and beyond the films, are a real success. Warner will always have money on this just name.

He knows people who went to test screenings, dont know if he himself actually saw a test screening of it. Like I said in my previous post there's no way he has or has seen the actual official script for the film, just compiled together plot details from what people have told him and put it into a document to make it look like an actual script.

Yeah but it seems like every scene is detailed, I just hovered over it and it looks so real. It's scary to see how far he can go.

    Spoiler

Tina's absence seems to be explained. ^^

  12. I saw the movie.
It's huge, not necessarily at all points, and less than the 2018 one, but it's damn huge to remember.

I don't necessarily like the multiple allusions to "40 years ago we were scared, now no", they say it like 15 times in the movie, it was pretty heavy.

For the purely entertaining side, and that's what you expect on this type of production, I got my money's worth.

Michael is a real bogeyman, who came from hell to hunt and kill. I hope Halloween Ends will ring its crown by killing Laurie for good, or ring the advent of Queen Strode with a real ending.

Oh and the soundtrack ... an orgasm.

    B+

  13. I really like the character of Queenie, I would like her to assert herself more and be even more on the front of the stage, Sudol is a good actress.

I was able to ask a question to a guy who has already answered several questions on this third opus and he assures me that the pace was much better than the second, a lot of lights are green just if the pace is good .

    Avatar 2 - 1.7b
    Jurassic World 3 - 950m
    Aquaman 2 - 780m
    Black Panther 2 - 740m
    Doctor Strange 2 - 630m
    Mission Impossible 7 - 700m
    The Batman - 650m
    Fantastic Beasts 3 - 520m

I see Avatar and Jurassic World 3 largely dominating the year 2022.

Regarding the others, a lot of surprises in my opinion. I don't see Batman performing that much, on the other hand MI7 should score higher than the last Bond. I expect a lot from Fantastic Beasts 3 especially in the Worldwide.
    We will see.
