ABC’s Manhattan Love Story is not getting a happy ending.

The romantic comedy — which starred Analeigh Tipton and Jake McDorman as a new couple in the Big Apple — has been cancelled, making it the first official victim of the fall TV season.

The internal monologue-heavy rom-com premiered on Oct. 1 to 4.7 million total viewers and a 1.5 rating, and by its fourth outing had dropped to 2.7 mil/0.7. Even more damming, the show was only seeing a 15 percent boost from Live+7 DVR playback — the lowest return of any scripted series this fall.

    ...story continues at above link.....

  2. Just watched an episode after missing them since the end of last season....and they have turned this show on its head with the soap opera changes.....haven't watched enough to see if this is good or bad....and whether the show has jumped the shark...

  3. I have a TV antenna so I can get the free over-the-air channels on my TV. It mostly works but mostly FOX and sometimes ABC occasionally give me problems.

Most of the TV I watch is through a Roku that allows me to stream content on my TV or on my laptop.

Right now I am using an HDMI cord, but I want to go wireless......any opinion on what are the best or benefits of Roku, Google Chrome Cast, Apple TV or any others, that you know of....

What are the best WebSites that you use as I only know Netflix, Hulu, Crackle and CBS.Com....

  4. Holy Christ!

I'm blown away at how good this is. I'm still a little high on it, but this is most likely the best action movie of the year.

Yes. Better than The Raid 2.

    Plus! Daniel Bernhardt!

I seriously want to start it up and watch it again right now.

I really want to see this....and I am very glad Mr.Anderson has another hit under his belt.

Ps... I have to check out what the Raid 1 and 2 were?

  5. Moved-and the only one you can have out here is Comcast I believe. Which one thing that does suck is you can't get basic service-only the more higher priced deluxe things. (Which stinks for tons of people)

    Thanks for the move.....

I just got TWC cable as it was the fastest to get set up, with free installation, and best of all, no 2 year contract that the others have.

I got almost every movie and sports channel to see which ones I like...but the bill is 200, which includes the Internet and home phone. LUCKILY I ALSO GOT A 50 credit, due to some installation problems. So now it is 150. Then I will cancel the ones I don't want in the 2 month. But for the first month it is great, as there are always 10 things to watch.

  6. Kingdom of Heaven- Director's Cut, at first okay better, now great film

Last of the Mohicans- That ending and soundtrack

Once Upon A Time in The West- Thought it boring and long, its not a Western Masterpiece of the highest calibre.  B)

Gladiator - I listened too much of the critics hating on the film, but I watched it and its undoubtedly the best film in its genre and a modern classic. The audiences enduring love of this film continues 14 years latter.

For me, Last of the Moficans was always loved by critics and I thought it was very good. Plus it had the great Daniel Day Lewis and the Beautiful Madeline Stowe.

And Gladiator with The great Russell Crowe. was Amazing.

  7. The bad guy always loses, even if they win.

Superhero Movies are the most predictable movies in Hollywood right now seeing as they follow a certain formula but they are also the most enjoyable films right now so being predictable is definitely not a bad thing.

Yup, I don't like that...as most times a bigger bad guy is winning the fight...and then the hero in like 3 seconds does something that WINS the fight and/or KILLS the bad guy.

  8. Fury3:15PMAbout 60% full-I don't think there was ANYONE under the age of 25. Trailers (Nearly every film was a period film except the last 2 which was funny as someone said "dang every trailers has been a period film!") The Imitation Game: Looks good, though it does seem like Beautiful Mind, which isn't bad as I liked it but yeah.Into the Woods: Audience really got into this it seems.Unbroken: Wow looks amazing, another one the audience enjoyed.Heart of the Sea: Looks pretty good, some talking.Exodus: Quite a bit of talking.Wedding Ringer: Um yeah-some laughs though.Interview: Laughs. Movie: I think this might be the best film I've seen in theaters this year so far. Yes it is VERY graphic at some points (and they say the F word a lot also at some points) but I really enjoyed it. Pitt is becoming one of my favorite actors. La Bouf seem to have taken acting lessons. And finally Logan-I see a LONG career ahead for him, amusing how he started with the Patriot with Jason Isaacs in that film. The score was very well done. The sound was great also. The audience realy enjoyed it also. Some laugh at some point, tons of gasps during the film (biggest was when Brad Pitt accidently kills Shia) And quite a bit of people going "die Nazi's even :P! I know it wont be nominated for anything major-though I wish it was. A

Boy your audience sure enjoyed those trailers.

And good news about the movie, as I also liked a good Brad Pitt movie.

  9. There is also the point about whether you have to have a happy ending....as they say in America, movies must have a happy ending, or they don't get made .... Or liked in focus groups unless there is a happy ending.

Also a movie needs to end in a clear cut black and white way, as a vague open ended movie ending, also pisses people off...at least in America.

  10. I love a lot of Rob Reiner films, but none more than this."You made a woman meow?"10/10

I have seen this before, just FYI....but in the first 5 minutes, just with the car scene driving cross country, I said, this is just a great well written movie.....major kudos to the writer!!!!

PS. This was the role that Billy Crystal was born to play....as he had a very scarcastic comedian flair....through the mid-point past at least....and then his heart sure shined through....
