WOW. PP2 w/ a 60m+ opening? Insane.

Harry Potter still holding that first day BO record!
-
By the way, Al Sharpton should invite Sasha to his emergency meeting.

I was just thinking about the noms again and I still can't believe Cotillard made like. This is giving me so much life rn, like you guys don't even know. I honestly cannot fucking believe it at all
This. So fuc*ing happy for her.
NO SAG support
NO BAFTA support
NO Golden Globes support
And she campaigned only once and that was last year. Many people felt it was over.
Got rewarded at the end.
By the way her performance by far is the best this season. If Moore is not overdue, Marion deserves her second Oscar!

Al Sharpton calls for "emergency" meeting to address the "appalling" all white Oscar nominees.

Sharpton needs to SHUT UP.

Jesus, I wish this box office run was switched with Unbroken's.
I don't see the connection? Or maybe because it's a female director? I just don't understand why people b!tching about Selma being a disappointment at the box office and the relevance of it from Unbroken. And put the other movie down. Both films are different. Unbroken is not even a threat to Selma. Sasha b!tching and trashing Unbroken's BO just to prop Selma. No wonder why there's karma.
-
Half of these movies I'm like ???????????????. Seriously.
What a boring, predictable winners. Aside from TGBH winning, it was a yawn fest.
-
Selma is under-performing? Blame Sasha for being a negative troll.

Happy B-day Baumer.

Brad Pitt doesn't have a publicist. Neither is Angelina.

I honestly don't think Boyhood will win that Oscar. Not because it's the not the best movie this year (actually I love the film) but because the Oscar voters tend to vote the bigger film.
-
As long as Unbroken reaches the 100+ m mark. I'm already happy! I still remember the tracking for this movie early on and they said that it will never cross the 100m.

I wonder what kind of advertising this movie in China. Are they going to for the anti-Japanese theme? Or maybe trying to avoid the anti-Japanese sentiment.

"Unbroken opened day-and-date with North America in the UK and Spain. Director Angelina Jolie's drama grossed $2.9 million from 759 dates. Spain's Christmas day debut helped it get the #5 spot over the weekend with a $1.6 million haul from 322 dates. The UK took a Boxing Day debut that landed it at #7 for the weekend with a $1.1 million tally from 437 dates. Unbroken expands to nine new territories next weekend."
A 100m OS for this movie will be a success already.

Amy Adams is one of my favorite actresses. Screw Harvey! I hope she gets that Oscar someday like Julianne Moore (long overdue) who is the frontrunner for the Best Actress race.
-
Give him the OSCAR next year. The Nightcrawler movie is a good indication that he will be the frontrunner next year with a good narrative.

The possibility of Unbroken with a 50+ (4-days) million is fuc*ing impressive!

Now I'm imagining Fassbender's d*ck. And by the way he should have been nominated for the movie Shame.

A movie with no stars, no awards traction and poor reviews.
Yep, never underestimate the people who believe Earth was created in 7 days 3000 years ago.
Mel Gibson is good friends with these folks.
Or don't ever underestimate the power of good karma.

The Goddess Nikki Finke should comeback. Just look what happened to Deadline now. You can pay them for celebrity PR unlike before.

This whole Aniston vs Jolie thing is like 10 years in the making. Jolie didn't stole Pitt. Pitt made a choice. The end.

Eh. Sometimes I agree w/ the critics, sometimes I don't. Like the movie August Rush, I love the film but the movie was trashed by critics and only had 34% RT.

I know the FBI said that the NORTH KOREA is behind the hack, but I won't be surprised that someone at SONY is behind all the drama to generate more interest on the film. Good or bad is still a publicity.

It's not shocking. Clooney = never been a BO draw. No matter what his friends in Hollywood declaring him the King in Hollywood.
190+m budget?
