  1. I still think Max could do something like 32m for the four-day. Shame its legs don't seem to be as promising as weekdays suggested but 150m should still fall.

Really bad Fridays all around. Could just be a depressed frame (Memorial Day is such a crapshoot) or we could see big Saturday recoveries but history shows that yesterday just kind of sucked. Avengers held as well as IM3 despite the openers combining to make a *third* of what the Memorial Day 2013 openers made.

Tomorrowland is potentially the summer's bomb. Probably won't make 100m. Yeesh.

It's not shocking. Clooney = never been a BO draw. No matter what his friends in Hollywood declaring him the King in Hollywood.

    190+m budget?

  2. I was just thinking about the noms again and I still can't believe Cotillard made like. This is giving me so much life rn, like you guys don't even know. I honestly cannot fucking believe it at all

This. So fuc*ing happy for her.

    NO SAG support

    NO BAFTA support

    NO Golden Globes support

And she campaigned only once and that was last year. Many people felt it was over.

    Got rewarded at the end.

By the way her performance by far is the best this season. If Moore is not overdue, Marion deserves her second Oscar!

  3. Jesus, I wish this box office run was switched with Unbroken's.

I don't see the connection? Or maybe because it's a female director? I just don't understand why people b!tching about Selma being a disappointment at the box office and the relevance of it from Unbroken. And put the other movie down. Both films are different. Unbroken is not even a threat to Selma. Sasha b!tching and trashing Unbroken's BO just to prop Selma. No wonder why there's karma.

  4. "Unbroken opened day-and-date with North America in the UK and Spain. Director Angelina Jolie's drama grossed $2.9 million from 759 dates. Spain's Christmas day debut helped it get the #5 spot over the weekend with a $1.6 million haul from 322 dates. The UK took a Boxing Day debut that landed it at #7 for the weekend with a $1.1 million tally from 437 dates. Unbroken expands to nine new territories next weekend."

A 100m OS for this movie will be a success already.
