    1. ME BEFORE YOU - € 423.000

    2. ICE AGE 5 - € 229.000

    3. BOURNE - € 162.000

    4. SUICIDE SQUAD - € 137.000

    5. THE SHALLOWS - € 80.000

    Suicide ( € 11.348.000 ) passed Civil War.

Today opens the second Independence Day in only 550 screens. The first one (20 years ago) sold more than 3.7M tickets here.

    Nothing expected from this one.

    It passed Zootopia too!

With $3m OD Suicide Squad could reach $11m-12m OW, allowing it to pass $30m, maybe it could also pass BVS' $35m!!

That's pretty amazing, with that it would enter the top 10 all-time in lc.

    Fascinating!

    :excited:

Even if it doesn't beat bvs it'll still shatter many a record!!!

Keeping the supernatural scares coming, New Line/Warner Bros’ sequel has zoomed past $150M internationally to cume $156M after adding $21M on 9,250 screens this frame. Italy was the major new opener at No. 1 with $1M on 372 screens. The UKconsulted a further $2.2M for an $11M total which bests the lifetime of Annabelle and puts it 8% ahead of the first Conjuring at the same point in release.

Spain ($3.8M cume) and Germany ($3.5M cume) held well against new openers while Indonesia continued its record-breaking run with a wild $11.3M total. That bests the first Conjuring by 53% and Annabelle by 46%. Indonesia is the film’s 4th best offshore market; 1-3 are: Mexico ($18.7M), Korea ($11.5M) and India ($11.4M). The UK is No. 5.

Civil War enters the top 20 all-time in USD at the 11th rank, BvS as well (13th).

Ice Age 5 is probably the only other movie of the year that could join them..unless the ER markedly improves.

How come The Smurfs is so lucrative here?

ID2 opens to a decent 17.3M lc OD Thu (~$900K). Usual multiplier for these movies is 5-6x, so we could expect a 4-day OW of about $5M.

Me Before You had a good 10.6M lc OD (~$550K). Multiplier is 4-5x, so it should aim to the $2.5M mark for the whole OW.

Conjuring 2 total is 323.5M lc, $17.7M. Already in the all-time Top 50 in lc.

    Full weekly table coming soon.

    Can Conjuring get to $25M?

Good drop for The Conjuring 2!

  10. 3 hours ago, Fullbuster said:

As for Ice Age 5 it's not totally certain to pass because the local currency lost much of its value since 2012, meaning IA5 will need to gross much more than IA4 in local currency to do that. Wait&See :)

Finding Dory could surprise us :)

Unfortunately Pixar movies rarely do well in this market :(so I doubt that.It would still gross $1B though.
