MCU brand in India post Thor 3 is leveling up primarily coz of IW hype and though it's not really an appropriate metric but BP got 100K+ hits (likes ?) on it's BMS page which is super rare for SH movies (maybe the 1st CBM idk)

I'd say DP 2 and Ant-Man 2 will do 50-60 Cr INR easily

I'm having a hard time believing that an Ant-Man sequel will approach anywhere near Civil War. I bet it'll perform more on the levels of GOTG 2.

AoU had only about 32% bump from Avengers.

But you are right. Thor 3 had an amazing bump from Thor 2 but it is nothing compared to the bump MCU movies had post avengers.

    CA3 increased by 185% over CA2

Thor 2 increased by 290% over Thor 2

    IM3 increased by 900% over IM2

    CA2 increased by 3400% over CA1!!!!!

Avengers was the best thing to happen to MCU movies in India

To be fair, movie theatres were on a strike when CA1 was released, hence the gigantic jump.

Still, I agree. Avengers really did elevate the MCU brand by a lot.

  3. Jab Harry Met Sejal's day-to-day holds are amazingly horrendous. This is probably the first time a film has dropped more than 50% from Monday to Tuesday, and don't even get me started on the Friday-to-Friday drop. At this rate it won't even pass Dear Zindagi or have a 1.5x multiplier. What a horrible run (and I thought Tubelight's run was godawful!).

Toilet is doing very well. Passing Rustom is possible.

Did solid business in India (best in Metros). Close to 15cr gross ($2.5m) crossed Frozen lifetime figs in OW. Could have done more but since its a original movie it has done its best! If this movie gets sequel im sure its gonna do well all over irrespective of critical acclaim from critics, audiences liked it!

Any idea about China and Japan release?

The Indian performance is actually pretty damn great. Animation films aren't that popular in India, so if that figure is true then it's only trailing a bunch of animation sequels. Among first instalments, I think only The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn performed better.
