I predicted 63m and 80m 4 day. So very happy it could be 69-75 and a 88-90+m 4day brother Ronin.
I've been thinking $66M 3-day and $85M 4-day, but now I'm thinking $70m and $92m as the totals.

Nobody think he is best director
But this is box office forum, and he is king of box office
James Cameron is the best director in the world, and it's not even close. T1, T2 and Aliens are awesome. He has two of the top 3 movies ever in box office.

Both Jurassic World and Matrix Ressurections are fourth entries in a franchise with an acclaimed first movie with two disappointing sequels. Why do you think one was a massive hit and one was a massive flop.
Matrix Reloaded was a huge hit.

I'm not sure how this got made with such a terrible script. This script couldn't help me pass my screenwriting classes I took 15 years ago. This film is an incoherent mess. It has some good ideas, like Neo questioning reality and his sanity and Neo and Trinity faintly remembering each other in the coffee shop. But the film's execution of these ideas is incredibly bad. This is like a first draft of a script, which needs at least two more rewrites with input from a script doctor or two.
Why does everything look so cheap? And discount Morpheus and Smith were both cringey, jokey, and unnecessary. Just come up with new, badass characters instead of SNL level spoofs of these legendary characters/actors. Matrix Ressurections is an absolute disaster! Studios have now ruined the Terninator, Star Wars, and Matrix franchises.

Pretty sure spiderman will stay flat or increase today.
Should be at about 480 million by Sunday.
Well ahead of IW with another week of holidays.
Think 700 million is very likely.
I'm thinking an $800M domestic total.

I watched Reloaded for the first time last night and by god, it might be one of the best sequels. The action was cranked up to eleven, the relationship between Neo and Trinity is so much better and the concept of Zion is so damn cool. I love it.
Reloaded is a really good movie!

This is the feature length equivalent of the joke in a bad sitcom reboot about how there are too many reboots, as if by mentioning the trend absolves them from the apparent crime of being a part of it.
We learn very little about the evolution of the returning world and characters. The film functions more like an open ended and entirely optional DLC prologue attached to something that concluded 20 years ago (speaking of DLC there’s a weird amount of insults lobbed at video gaming here).
The new humans all look like dorks wearing Matrix cosplay. The action was done better in 2003. The movies looked better in 2003 (this thing looks more like a Marvel sequel).NPH is fun. The filmmakers truly struggle to find any reason as to why Morpheus and another character are brought back, but they’re fun too. The film isn’t particularly interesting but it shuffles along well enough. Frankly I think it’s far more watchable then Revolutions - I just don’t respect it.
If you want to make a Matrix sequel then just make a Matrix sequel. Adding such a forceful and blatant faux-statement on sequels does not hide that this is one of the laziest and plain legacy sequels out there (at least Space Jam 2 tried to do something). The movie is so embarrassed to exist that they have a returning character yell about how there’s a lack of ‘originality’ and ‘too many sequels’, in the background of kung-fu fight scene for 5 minutes.
LOW LOW RENTAL. A pathetic film.
100% Agreed! Perfectly stated review of this flick.

I'm a huge fan of the Matrix and Matrix Reloaded. Matrix Revolutions was just okay. Matrix Resurrections was terrible! I'm amazed how bad it was. This movie was 2 hours of incoherent psychobabble, comedic takes on legendary characters, with 30 minutes of poorly shot fight scenes. The plot never really went anywhere. Matrix Resurrections is a disaster and franchise killer! I'll never watch this garbage again. My only positives for this movie were Trinity and Bugs. I thought both characters were well acted and fleshed out. Everything else was poorly executed.

If this doesn't get strong reviews and reactions I will be sad. It's a different feeling when a film is getting strong ticket boosts and buzz that sustains to a huge OW, vs when something kinda limps along after tepid buzz, still delivering big numbers but you know there was potential for more.
This is my fear of what may happen. I don't think the last two Spidey movies were that good. This one has lots of hype based on appearances by previous villains from another movie universe and rampant rumors of who else is in it. After the initial surprises, it still needs to be a good movie to sustain the hype.

It was a conflict with a stage show but then it got resolved but Lana changed her mind. It's confusing. I'm bummed he isn't returning, he's the best character and the new guy doesn't do the best impression. Imagine the shock at the end of trailer 1 if it was Smith talking to Neo in that office.
Hugo Weaving was great. But I enjoy new actors and characters instead of constantly using the familiar ones.

Trailer 2 looks awesome! This movie looks great. I'm very excited for Matrix Resurrections!

That's my ranking as well, though 2 is comfortably ahead of 4 for me.
Scream 4 is neck and neck with Scream 1 as the best of the franchise.

Scream - great
Scream 2 - good
Scream 3 - bad
Scream 4 - okay
Hopefully this turns out good. Scream 4 was better than I thought it would be going in. I don't hate Scream 3 but it doesn't add up to a good movie.
The original is my favorite in the slasher genre by quite some margin, though.
Scream IV was great!

To me Eternals was a mess. The movie had several big exposition dumps with strange and inconsistent character motivations and changes. The deviants were a complete afterthought, which was disappointing. I found the final act sloppy as hell. I did like how their powers were displayed, and I generally enjoyed the acting and action. Eternals wasn't a terrible movie, but it wasn't very good either.

Everyone is fuckin terrible in Lynch's Dune. The movie is a chore to sit through and especially if you've seen gifs and memes and think it might be fun. Nope. Sy Fy adaptation is better. Some uneven acting like not all terrible.
Nonsense! Lynch's Dune is awesome. It's one of my favorite movies. I really liked the new movie as well, but I prefer Lynch's version, which had some terrific performances.

Loved this movie! Dune is my favorite book. The first Dune movie is one of my all time favorites. This new version is great as well. Although I still prefer Lynch's version. I'll probably see this new Dune 2-3 more times in the theaters. For me, it's the best movie I've seen in a while.
