Except for lone ranger which was actually good
It's pretty mixed lol
-
At least it didn't have a big OW increase, it's not going to reach the total of GU now

Don't underestimate ANT-MAN.. It's going to be a surprise hit..
If Marvel didn't have the success it has recently, I would be worried about Ant-Man, but at the moment I think Marvel is kind of bulletproof with their releases, so Ant-Man will probably do okay, but I won't be that surprised really

I think when it's all said and done47 DM241. GU238. PR
Pretty much spot on with PR estimate and very close to GU2 estimate
-
Having stated my case on Bay I can't say I am a big GDT fan either. Pan Labyrinth is great but none of his other films have drawn me in much. PR looks simplistic and dull.
I really don't think that PR is intended to be that sophisticated.

Sony F'ed up with the marketing
Waited to long to ramp it up, regardless of how close it was to OHF

I still don't think MU gets to $300m, but, that's mainly because it feels like DM2 is going to put a big dent in it.
Or... maybe DM2 isn't going to be as big as we expect.
*shrug*
I think the latter.
Monsters University will hold well imo

Well to be fair, TF3 was better than TF2 so if it continues that upward trend it may be a tad better. Why would you expect better critical reception?

I won't lie, there is one thing Hangover 3 beat Fast 6 in -- trailers. The trailers I had in front of Fast 6 were the most uninteresting, forgettable, and worst grouped ones I've gotten in front of a movie in LONG time. My cousin even asked me today what trailers did I get and if they were any good (and he's GA, he's going to F6 tomorrow), and I had to go Wikipedia to remember, they were that bad. I usually remember trailers since I make sure not to miss them. It sounds like TH3 and Epic had some at least interesting if not good ones though.
Complete opposite for me. F6s trailers were great imo, Hangovers were just boring with little laughs

Cheap substitutes like games? since when has a movie ticket cost as much a game?
I think he means the fact that his "lifestyle" is to see movies an unusual amount of times.
Sad we can't all afford his lifestyle

From HSX:
Going to be bump, if not a significant bump for TREK2 on Saturday
Posted by: nilephelan on May 17, 23:45
I'm looking at numbers right now and multiple theaters in my chain are going to be very strong for Saturday, much stronger than Friday from what it looks like right now.
Matinees are filling up or full already across the board and Evening shows are mostly sold out at this point. I think it is going to make it to $100 million for the 4 day.
Some good news

The fact that they are bringing all the voice actors in to the project makes me really excited, hopefully they dont mess it up (it would be pretty hard to)

Yuck for Snitch as expected

Incredible SLP

Man of Steel

Wow that's great for WB
-
Feel sorry for Statham, hasn't had a solo hit in a while (if ever).
-
It's not flopping by any means.. it would be ridiculous to assume this would come CLOSE to DOM.
-
Holy shit, sorry, I just checked the number again for TLS.. that's insane???!?
-
Agree, seems pretty low considering its his actual return to actingCan someone please explain to me what the f**k is up with The Last Stand?!

Likeable:Leonardio Dicaprio: He's an amazing actor, respects where he is. Consistently performs well and off the top of my head I can't think of a TERRIBLE film he starred in. He also does a lot of activism work, which I admire greatly. He seems really nice and thoughtful in his interviews.Johnny Depp: While maybe he doesn't ALWAYS star in the greatest of movies, he is a very likeable guy, he was friends with Hunter S Thompson and once again, seems nice in his interviews. Quite funny and smart as well.Emma Stone: She's a terrific actor and consistently performs quite well. She's extremely confident and nice in all of her interviews that I have seen, and comes across as a very down to earth person.Unlikeable:Shia LeBeouf: Arrogant and obnoxious, absolutely terrible actor, have not enjoyed watching any of his movies except for Lawless, which I still hated him in..Justin Timberlake: Terrible pop-star turned actor. Don't like him in any movies, at all.Nicholas Cage: He's a shite actor. Whereas most of Shia and Justin's movies weren't entirely "BAD", almost every Nicholas Cage movie I have seen is absolute crap. He also overacts a lot, resulting in freak-out compilations on YouTube.
