Damn I did not see it being this bad. I was thinking $120m opening weekend and it’s gonna be 30% less than that.
Its crazy to think this movie will do literally half of Rogue One, worldwide.

There must be some hidden hand, like a black hole co-orbiting a bright blue giant, invisible to us, that makes Disney want to keep dumping flops on Memorial Day.
Do they have a pact with Thanos whereby they slaughter a Memorial Day sacrificial lamb, and he allows them to rule all other weeks?
Flop? Is this like all your other “predictions”.

What did you tweet her?
When she said it wouldn't do $200m opening I said she didn't understand box office very well. Then yesterday I tweeted her a screenshot of Gavin saying it had made $148m the first 2 days.

Puerto rico is not a country
Yes I realize my issue but now I'm comparing Puerto Rico to Hong Kong so the fudge train (sounds weird huh?) is back on the tracks!

Why don't you include Vietnam in while you at it?
Puerto Rico is still U.S. territory. Laos is an independent country.
This is true. I guess we can skim off Hong Kong then!

LOL. WTF does Laos have anything to do with China?
1) It borders China.
2) It's box office is small and mostly unnoticed.
3) Did you see the comment I replied to? It's about using a smaller country to fudge the numbers to make sure we get over $200m -

It's too bad we don't have Puerto Rico to fudge things a bit if needed. Any areas that could serve a similar role?
Laos perhaps? How are we looking in Laos?!?

Come on 340m!

How's Sunday looking so far?

RTH says $27m and Empire says $28.5m so I'm gonna hope for the latter but go with the former until I know better lol
16 + 27 + 18 = 61m
$547m in 17 days. If it follow AOU from here out we get to $675m. CW gets us to $643m. GOTG2 takes us to $707m and TA1 leads us to $746m.
I'm sticking with my $660m prediction given the onslaught of huge openers thats coming.- 4

Seeing IW for the 5th (and final) time in theaters tonight. Cheers to $27m or more today!

Pretty crazy its heading for 80 million USD today lol
I dont think any Hollywood movie has made that much in a single day outside of the states?
From one country? Definitely not. I believe the record is either FF8 Saturday or IW yesterday (including MN). It's very close between them depending on IW's actuals.

It's funny because this is about to be the 4th highest 3rd weekend ever but some people will still claim it's a disappointment.

BP had an 84% increase ($30M) on Saturday from that $16.2m friday. Do you think IW will have a similar Saturday increase?
Just going off last weekend which had a lighter Saturday (most likely due to Cinco de Mayo) and a stronger Sunday, it's held pretty close to BP so far. I'm think roughly $28m Saturday and $18m Sunday for about $62m.

$58.5m weekend
Seems about right but I'm hoping for a bit more. BP did $16.2m Friday and finished at $66.3 million for the weekend. If it holds at $15.5m then I'm hoping for about $63m on the weekend.

Highlighted the key words for those that may try to abuse what you've said here.
Personally, I think that's an excellent outlook, thanks.
I’ve tapered my expectations a bit. If it can match FF8’s Saturday I would be happy. Fingers still crossed for a 1 billion Sat/Sun though

Well in line with my projections. So yeah $875m+ is looking more likely.
$875m OS - China through Sunday would mean this week did about 49% of last weeks total. Should put us around $950 through May 20th.

With 158.5m in sat PS, FF8’s sat ps was slightly lower than Friday if I am not wrong
So IW Sat PS will be 50m over FF8 Sat PS?

So the deciding factor is the leg. With the current score how do you guys think the multiplier will be?
At this point I’d say 1.9 max but probably closer to 1.75

It looks like we’re still on target for $200m OW but no more than $220m. Probably around $205 - 210m.
