As much as I enjoyed seeing Tenet in theatres, the studios can't be risking anymore big budget films in 2020. They need to move this and Dune to 2021. I Will Wait so they can earn more at the box office rather than taking a big fat loss attempting to pvod it. Now, smaller flicks like Bill and Ted...get that trash in theatre already. Move Mulan there too. Move Black Widow to 2021.
If the rest of the world has to wait for America to stop being backward before cinemas can open then cinemas will never open.

Starts at 100% and 9.33 avg rating (8 reviews). This is coming hard for the Oscars race
How can you see the average score? Mine has been hidden for years

If Dune is a YA Novel, Lord of the Rings is a children's book. What are are we getting at here?
And the Dictionary contains every book that's been written, just out of order

Presumably because you hate his performances / movies..?
Not everyone has to have the same opinion as you mate.
But hate is a strong word toward an actor, I thought maybe he had been involved in some sort of scandal, not hated because of his acting merits.

I hate Vince Vaughn but I've liked Kathryn Newton in everything I've seen her in so far and this looks like a really fun horror flick.
Shit release date though. Horror movies almost never do well in the holidays and will do even worse with the pandemic.
How could you 'hate' Vince Vaughn? Hate is a strong word. He's a good actor and hilarious when he wants to be

I mean even stuff like Terminator, Aliens and Robocop got toys and merchandise made out of them in those days, that doesn't mean those films were aimed at young audiences.
Yeah i remember having Starship Trooper toys

The last movie he write have 93% on RT
Please dont use RT. It also has Arrival higher than Nolan's entire filmography, it cannot be trusted

I'm a nolan fan but his movies would be 100% improved if he didn't write them.
Inception wouldn't exist if he didn't write them.

Let me know when Villeneuve delivers critical and commercial successes consecutively like Nolan has been doing since the last decade.Or writes his own movies.

Nolan wishes he was on the same level as Villeneuve
The opposite is more likely

Nolan has received flack in the past about the lack of strong female characters in many of his films. I think he dropped the ball here as there is nothing about Robert Pattinson's "Neil" character that would have prevented the character from being female and portrayed by a woman. It would have given some interesting new meaning to Neil's last lines in the film.
I don't think Nolan cares about trying to please those types of people though. Neil was an aggressive agent, i don't think it would have been suitable for a female role, especially when Nolan likes to keep his movies as grounded as possible

I’d like to see Nolan go back to doing smaller movies.
No, he's the only one giving us original blockbusters

I doubt people will notice the changes, its not like winning Best Picture is all that memorable now anyways.

Megamind: B+
Hot take time:
1.) 2010 was a better quality year for animation and possibly the best year for the medium in cinema.
2.) Megamind is probably better than the vast majority of MCU movies including every Avengers movie, every DCEU movie not named Wonder Woman and every modern X-Men film except First Class and Logan. But then again Batman: Mask of The Phantasm, The Incredibles series, Megamind and the best superhero movie of all time: Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse shows the most memorable superhero films are animated. (Lego Batman and TTG are fun and we don’t acknowledge Big Hero 6, BH6 is pretty mediocre)
Megamind is actually a well crafted superhero film and animated film. A lot of the film’s strengths come from the characters. Pitt, Farrell, Fey and Hill really sell these characters, as well as the film being more dialogue driven despite being a fun comedy. The themes or nature vs nurture are really well done for a family aimed film and the villain is really ahead of the time. However the two things preventing this from greatness is the action scenes aren’t really too dynamic and while really funny, I thought it could’ve been funnier. Megamind is an underrated superhero film I highly recommend.
Megamind deserved all the success Despicable Me got. I remember being surprised that it never took off

Watchmen has 26 Emmy nominations, more then any other show.
Never seen The Boys, but one of them was cast in Scream, so I might watch it. So many shows on right now though so it’s on a long list.
The watchmen was really well made but it's hard getting into without knowing much about the source material, for me.

Woah!
Boy S2 is excellent. Specially the 3rd episode. Mind blowing last 5 minutes.
This is going down in history.
Actually I think this season of boys has the potential to finally top Watchmen from last year. Insane.
Watchmen was already topped by the first season of The Boys. There's a reason Watchmen isn't getting another season

Comparing opening weekends for Nolan films to Tenet is just lame.
Tenet opened during a global pandemic.
The real question is, would have Tenet flopped had there been no pandemic?

This is kind of a spoiler, right?? I haven't seen it yet. Because this makes me think of some aspect that I hadn't really thought of in any trailers I've seen here, and I haven't read many reviews, yet. Please be careful in revealing even these small details!
Sorry it was intended as a joke. Nothing in it is a spoiler, they mention inversion in the trailers

Been lying awake all night wondering how they went to the toilet inverted..

As much as i didn't rate Tenet as much as others here, I want more original movies like it that are willing to take risks
