The SAG negotiations falling apart should put a swift end to any hopes Disney had of this movie making it to May, let alone next year. I don't expect it any earlier than February of 2025 and will be pleasantly surprised if it does. Maybe they can make it to Thunderbolts's current December 2024 slot, but I doubt it.

Yeah, this probably moves to February or May of 2025 and Captain America probably moves to next Fall

    Anyone knows why they moved?

    From the Deadline article:

"Exhibition, no need to be alarmed: This has nothing to do with a change in distribution strategy for these films, I’m informed. There’s no Disney+ theatrical day-and-date going on, nor are Disney execs immediately concerned about the future of the global marketplace. It’s all on account of a domino effect going on with production and filmmakers. Some titles are contending with finishing scenarios while others are in production. This is how Disney is solving it, and when you come to think of it, most of the dates were already reserved by the studio for Marvel fare; they’re just moving titles from one slot to the next."

So excited for this movie. It sucks that it took this long - but I hope fans still appreciate this movie anyway as a send off to her character.

I hope fans aren't too upset about this movie being delayed that it impacts their ability to enjoy and appreciate the movie.

I'm pretty sure once they actually sit down and watch the movie, their feelings about it being delayed as much as it has will go away.

Tbh for the longest my hype for this movie died down as it kept getting delayed, but now that we're a month out from its release, the hype returned. It's exciting that the Marvel movies are finally back!

So the question is if Disney either A: can convince Feige to go along with hybrid release or B: is willing to go over the head of the biggest moneymaker for the film division of the company, arguably of the entire industry.

Most likely the first option. Releasing it hybrid without his consent, Disney probably doesn't want to get on Feige's bad side lol

  5. Hi, everyone. Long time lurker, first post here!

But anyways, I'm starting to come around to the fact that this film is going to most likely be delayed again. If anything, it just moves to July 9th (Shang-Chi's spot). I have a feeling that this might be the final delay of the film. Either the world is at a place where they feel confident that it will do somewhat good OR they pull the plug and decide to do the hybrid release. I just can't see them pushing this film back again and again. Thoughts?
