I seriously don’t intend to start any fan boy wars, but when I see that they made a freaking Ant Man trilogy, with perhaps the most insignificant of superheroes, I’m constantly reminded of the fact that the masterpiece that was Man of Steel couldn’t get a real sequel and my faith in this world is getting crushed.
Man of Steel was already one too many of Snyder's Superman

A film doesn’t have to recoup its full production budget and marketing in cinemas alone to be a success. Otherwise, only low budget horror films would ever be hits.
It needs $500M to recover the production budget alone.

We can’t move the goalposts because it suits us.
Context isn't moving the goal post lol
By your logic, TSS is the worst performing CBM of all time, no other has lost more money, there's no COVID excuses, "should would could in 2022". Also, Thor 4 didn't underperform because NTTD is seen as a big overperforming success.

Any superhero movie that doesn't have its hero rape is automatically better than WW84

Critics and audience are fine with destruction as long as you show the hero actually care, which wasn't the case with Man of Steel.

RT is a total joke for tv reviews , no seriously thinks Ms Marvel is as good as shows like Severance
No one seriously thinks TFA is better than The Shining either. I get thinking RT as whole is a joke, but only for shows? nah

Ms Marvel is not close to its best reviewed thing. Before you tout that 98% on RT around, TV shows are rated differently than movies and it much, much easier to get above 90%. Also the Emmy nods were all below the line nods which they were certain to get due to being big budget genre shows. It's like getting nominated for VFX at the Oscar's.
98% with 8.20/10 average rating is very good even by TV standards. I'm pretty sure big budget genre shows don't automatically get technical nominations just by being big budget genre shows lol

But before AT&T stopped reporting it, we know most people didn't activate their HBO Max accounts. This is just off topic at this point and doesnt change my point.
AT&T stopped reporting activations in Jan 17 2021, they've released an entire slate of movies since then, not to mention shows. You're right it's off topic because they reporting HBO/HBO Max numbers combined and they have more subs than Disney+ in US.

Nielsen only tracks Max and not HBO which definitely doesn't have more subs than D+.
Almost everyone that has HBO has access to HBO Max, if someone with HBO wanted to watch it, they absolutely can.

Also FB3 did like 800 mil on a service with like half the subs as D+. I guess it should get a sequel because of its good streaming numbers.
Nielson numbers are US only, where HBO/HBO Max have more subs than Disney+ lol

Every other MCU show is staring popular characters that have appeared in multiple billion dollar movies except Moon Knight which overperformed hard, even beat WandaVision and Hawkeye. Ms. Marvel viewership is still higher than Peacemaker/Superman and Lois, way higher than other superhero shows. Also, higher than Only Murders in the Building Season 2.

I predicted the MCU demise after MOM and it's turning out to be true

No it would not.
Yeah it would, it's gonna finish around $960M, Russia and Saudi Arabia alone would push it to a billion, Ukraine, Egypt and the rest of Middle East that banned it would be bonus.

Does the MCU always need daddy china to cross the billion threshold ?
Aside from multiple movies that are easily over a billion even without China (including one that came out some months ago), if DS2 was released everywhere but China, it would still make a billion, so no

Apparently, the movie that is banned in multiple international markets including the biggest one, is lucky that it has a normal South Korea lol

If China allows Marvel films again, it would be more likely for a CBM to sell 100M tickets there than in NA, Endgame sold more tickets there than any CBM in NA.

Movies that passed 1B milestone w/o China: Avengers are in class of their own, NWH had a hook like no other, and BP was boosted by an insane domestic performance that outgrossed its OS total. So DS2 is right where they would expect it.
Also, Iron Man 3

It's not gonna outgross NTTD, is it?

I remember when Ragnarok trailer came out and surprisingly destroyed Homecoming, GOTG2 and Justice League in views and likes

Can Moonfall outgross Batman?

How is Batman's OD looking?

So, can Uncharted hit $30-35M?

How good is that compared to Uncharted/Matrix at the same point? $50M OW possible?
