*whispers* I actually thought Guardians was the tamest MCU offering of the ones I've seen. For a space fantasy with supposedly zany characters it felt bland as fuck and could have been directed by just about anyone. I imagine the source material was really out-there so credit to Gunn for reigning it in, I guess.

But generally I sit somewhere in the middle of the 'MCU movies are all the same/No they're all wildly different' conversation. Some lean funny, some lean serious, but the meat is always slick, solid action adventure. And that's fine!

Really??! Have you seen CM? Because it could have been an episode of Agents of SHIELD! That's how bland/generic it is.

Good start for that Mary Bish. Ready for Christmas,

I understand some of you want to see Acqua Man on Imax but you can't find so crazy they give the imax screens to Mary, it's a film with great visuals and animations. You act like they gave them to something like The King's speech 😅

Actually after seeing Aquaman, I do find it crazy that they gave the imax screens to MP. Aquaman is one of the very very few movies that should be seen in Imax.

What a strange world it is that I’m finding myself agreeing with Ethan more and more.

But TGS’s music is trash.  It’s uninspired, hits the cliche and boring Poppish beats, lacks any sort of lyrical wit, is a style that really doesn’t fit the story being told, and it all blends together.

Theyre songs written for audiences that eat up trite stuff from shows like Wicked and American Idol.

La La Land’s stuff is vocally flawed but the actual music is great.  I’ll definitely take that over the squeaky clean top 40 pop ballads.

I haven't seen TGS so I can't say anything about it. But La La Land is the first musical I can't remember a song from.

Sorry, but in my book the  Arthurian saga deserved better then "dumb fun".

I am really beginning to hate these people who want to reduce everything to the level of mindless action film.

I admit, I am happy this thing bombed. Maybe Hollywood will start treating some topics with the respect they deserve rather then dumb them down for the comic book fanboy crew.

To me, being respectful = making a good movie. It's what Guy Ritchie did.

And yes, has someone above just stated - OS reports will look terrible this weekend because the 24/25th are NOT movie going days in the rest of the world. We go through this every year, but this is the friendly reminder before people start assuming things that aren't right.

As an European I'm shocked that movies are making so much money during christmas. I thought the USA were more christian/family oriented.

Harley Quinn Rebirth is projected at 400k in comic sales this week ... higher than Batman Rebirth. She is massive ... 2nd biggest comic book property for DC comics.

I didn't know that but I'm not surprised. She's my favorite female character too.

She reminds me of the Burtons Catwoman (who is the only version of CW that I like).

How famous Harley Quinn is in the grand scheme of things ?

She is the most famous female DC character not called Wonder WOman ?

It s difficult to gauge to me.

I know the video games increased her popularity.

I think you forgot Catwoman and Lois Lane before her.

I would put her with Poison Ivy although she may be more popular now because of her relationship with the Joker.

I'm still mad at Nolan for not using her instead of CW.  I think it would have been a great way to have the Joker influence without using him. I still think it would have worked.

I watched the film last night, boy oh boy was it a mess. That last 20 minutes would not end. Unlike Jurassic World where the audience was sent home happy, BvS sent audiences home depressed. Wonder Woman was pretty cool though, that's about the only positive I took away from it.

What the hell are you talking about? First of all, it didn't send me home depressed, it sent me home really excited for The Justice League and also excited with the last shot about Superman.

And since when a film has to have an happy ending to be good? I guess you think A Clockwork Orange is garbage then?

And really, if you don't like your movies a little dark, just stop watching Batman movies.

And it's a shame that it's caused so much bitterness, because it's not just this, but the divisive reception to Man of Steel and the failure of Green Lantern (which was originally supposed to kick off the DCCU) before it that have made them look like the "losing team." They should actually want the best versions of the characters, not merely settle for what they get.

Lol call me crazy but I'm totally satisfied with the portrayal of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in BvS. I particularly hated the portrayal of Batman in TDKR and I still can't believe this film got the critical reception it got.

And even though I was disappointed several times, I have to say that I find myself really lucky compared to the fans of  Star Wars or Marvel who (except for TGoG and Deadpool) have to settle for mediocrity films after films. But it's ok right? As long as RTmeter is green!

I mean it's not like it was you and not the critics who is watching those films right, right?

  10. I really cannot believe this because I never liked a Snyder movie and I was so disappointed with MoS. But I went to see this movie because my little sister really wanted to see it and I actually really liked it.

It's no masterpiece it has incoherences and yeah, I think he should have dropped the dreams but I liked it a lot. I think it has this epic feeling and for the first time I actually liked Superman! I'm really excited for The Justice League now.

And really the critics??? So, Star Wars was really good and BvsS is shit? It makes no sense.
