Campea is hosting a REACTION WATCH! 😂 This man has been unhinged this whole movie rollout
Did he go to the premiere? Or was he not invited because he posted certain images from the film?

Max Lord just gave Minerva another wish. Doesn't seem that it was established how many wishes a person can have.
I think there was a part in Lord's office, where he tried to give a guy a wish, but couldn't since he already got one.

How did Barbara get a second wish? I didn't understand that part and I don't want to watch it again.

Just finished watching it. If I had to compare it to another comic book movie, it would probably be Superman IV: the quest for peace.

In terms of WW84, the thing that most interests me is seeing how this release does in terms of box office. This is by far the biggest movie to ever try something like this.
I'm not sure Warner Brothers will actually release box office numbers for WW84 or any of their 2021 movies.

It's so odd that the idiots at AT&T and Warner didn't wait just two more weeks to see how WW84 is doing. Putting my personal vendetta against this decision aside, they're making a very risky decision without any data point to prove that it would be a success. What if the very odd release timeline for each movie doesn't work? What if no one watches these big movies because they can't tell the difference between HBO and HBO Max? What if this means alienating OS audiences (who might not care when sequels to these movies release)?
As others have said, it seems like they did this so that get ahead of Disney's announcements next week.
Maybe they already know how its doing. When they announced WW84 was going to HBO Max, they probably saw a massive amount of new subscriptions.

But USA can watch it on HBO Max. No HBO Max in Canada.

When she says it's not going to streaming, does she mean it's not going only to streaming? In this tweet is she confirming it's going to theaters and PVOD on the same day?
6 hours ago, Saul Goodman said:Oh boy, who woulda thunk WB would really drop this on HBO Max. Especially after how sure Patty was last month about it only being a theatrical release. They are really desperate for new subscribers.
I think last month she was saying it wouldn't go directly (and only) to HBO Max. But it seems she did confirm a theater/streaming release.

Bond will never give up on a theatrical release. I can see Marvel being slightly more open to that given Disney has a platform to promote and there's another 27 MCU movies in the pipeline.
According to this, I think in December Disney will be announcing that all their new movies will be available on Disney +, but still get a theatrical release at the same time.

Zack Snyder returned as a producer on WW84, and Deborah Snyder also said 2 months ago that they're producing something else for DC (rumored to be The Flash). He also confirmed 2 months ago that it was his decision to leave Justice League, not WB's. Not to mention the people at DC Films that clashed with his vision were quickly moved to other jobs in the company after the results of what they did to the JL film. So I wouldn't say for sure WB has "ditched" his vision.
What???? No way that's true. I doubt he said that.

The price an actor is paid for MCU is usually locked in for 5 films or so. Let's say they were to pay him $1M per Strange appearance. That's $5m. Now, let's say they offer $10-$20M to play Joker again. That's a different story.
There is no way that is true.

LOL imagine calling Joker an indie budget movie. estimated $200M budget for production & marketing. You're funny.
Wasn't it about 50M to make and 150M for advertising?

With WB reporting 29% drop, last FSS is revealed to be 9.4.
Did WB "adjust" last week's FSS, so the drop wouldn't look as bad?

Not impossible if studios delay everything to 2021 and theaters have to keep playing Tenet and New Mutants until then.
It would probably be more profitable for theaters to play older movies instead.

Looks like Antenna Data has some info, probably the best source we can get outside of Disney themselves. Much better than Sensor Tower, App Annie and Trending data.
Their numbers will just be guesstimates.

They were probably trying to film, but the studio didn't want anyone to know.

It would be pretty funny if Tenet's Canadian opening beats The New Mutant's domestic opening.
I read that Warner Brothers isn't releasing Tenet's Canadian numbers. They'll just be added to the American numbers next week.

I was just bringing up a hypothetical "bruh", Phillips' film was the most profitable superhero film ever made and DC still hasn't green-lit a new project since it opened (Black Adam, Shazam! 2 and Flash were all in development before Joker came out)
Joker was a superhero movie??? I think it was the most profitable comic book related movie relative to it's budget. I think Endgame was more profitable.
