  1. OKOK is Udhayanidhi Stalin movie.....He always pays to the media to create positive buzz....Surya starrer 7Aum arivu is his studio's movie....He constantly showed that crap ad like "It's the highest crossing movie" in his channels..the fact is its did get back its budget and made some profits.but that is overall a dissapointment coz that is much hyped movie in that time...Apart from Behindwoods Sreedhar pillai and TFU_kannan are notable trade analysts...but both of them are biased with Vijay and Ajith respectively....;(

Sridhar Pillai is a Good critic and industry tracker not biased .....dunno abt kannan!!! :)

Pretty rough weekend.  It almost looks like last weekend was a holiday or discount day weekend, but that's not the case.

Frozen earns itself a 16th-consecutive week on top, sharing the record for Most-Consecutive Weeks at #1 with Spirited Away now.

The openers all did fine (most June releases are dumped there), and I'm actually surprised Transcendence is estimated above ¥100 million ($1 million).  Depp is the only reason it managed to do this "well".  And I forgot to include the new Grudge in the weekend forecast (my bad), but it only opened at 122 locations, and these near limited releases often change a lot from estimates.  Thirst is the most-impressive of the openers.  A weekend near ¥100 million is very strong considering the few films that open early on Friday with stage greetings tend to collapse over the weekend itself.

But now that another dull June is over, we can begin to see the many major titles July and August have to offer.  Beginning with Maleficent and Edge of Tomorrow this upcoming weekend.

    Any biggies coming week??

  4. Agree with Kerala and UK....though ROI not fancy for particular tamil heroes xcept Rajni n Kamal...Its always changes time to time... :)and for the boxoffice analyst matter you may be right about AP...but i am not talking about analysts...i wanna c an analyst or source...for example look at the hollywood scenerio, the rival fans never fight with the numbers like "hey my hero film made 200cr."..."hi thats not correct dude...ur source is nonreliable..look at this source ur hero earned just 120cr"....because Mojo and Rentrak rules there.their numbers are accepted by everyone.now show me a single source like them... :P ...Bollywood is good in this case....i think taran adarsh is reliable....

Taran adarsh numbers are bloated Boxofficeindia is better....AP has ABO Tollyrevenue TGBoxoffice etc KL has breakingnews4u but TN KA lack even tat.....but these sources are 80-90% trustable

  5. Hmmm...Okay...between Thalaiva bombed hard in here coz of his political agenda that causes some heat to the current CM...And honestly after Rajnikanth ,Ajith's opening is huge to compare others....The main problem in TN,AP and KT is there is lack of true box office analysts....Most of the studios are lie about their collection like they made 100cr...150cr...200cr...blah...blah... :P

AP there are many BO analysts who track in a proper manner TN nd KA lack in tat aspect....KL too has good tracking

Vijays movies are always hugee in Kerala thalaivaas gross almost equals singam 2 in kerala....thalaivaa 8.5cr singam 9.5Cr

Vijays major advantage is ROI KA KL OS markets
