What about The Battleship Island? Is it good? It's gonna be released here next week.
I thought it was just "okay" but otherwise it's been received quite poorly by many in Korea so I wouldn't really recommend it. It's a shame because normally I really like the director's style.

Also watched Thirst. Did not like it at all. I hate watching hospitals, diseases and needles it makes me cringe so hard. Funny I have no problem watching the wailing which is probably worse.

I guess it hits everyone differently. I found it super weird and being Korean I reckon I'm more acclimatized to the occult happenings in the film. I imagined for a foreigner it would be even more jarring but kudos to you if you weren't fazed by it

Yes you're right, it seems I copied the list from before Your Name's run. And you're correct in your analysis too. Frozen's run was a major outlier, not in the context of animated films but for foreign films in general.
