Universal has been slower than the other studios pretty much every day, so I guess we will see if this number changes later in the day. If not, then it seems the 3 hour runtime was a big deal for the Canadian holiday boost on Monday.

Thanos Legion was a regular here before you were here, Junior. It’s the biggest film franchise in planet Earth and rightfully so. Good luck keeping movie theaters lights on without them.

This is sometimes what makes it harder to come back and post regularly here.

Edit: I am here sometimes lurking and looking at numbers but I miss the olden days.

  5. Really the first episode turned me of this show, I enjoyed every other show of the MCU so far. WV, Loki and Hawkeye are my favorites. Kate Bishop And Yelena's relationship is just awesome. Can't they just a series of those two instead of this?

I have watched all episode that are out and I would for real can understand why it has 5.1/10 on IMDB and don't believe it is that much affected by the right wing nuts that tried to rating bomb Captain Marvel and started that BS "Get woke go broke".

    Oh and hail Marton Csokas

I have been having dreams of Emily Beecham once in a while ever since I saw it long ago and love Ally Io (something)'s eyebrows too.

The second movie still made 650M+, you pretty much need to roll the dice one more time with that kind of return and hope that it makes enough to not lose you money.

Understable before the pandemic and war era, but everything is making less than they would have normally.

The budget is the same if not more, so with the steep dive it has experienced from 1 to 2, i would have imagined they would cut the budget a bit.

I do wonder if Dumbledore will even get to $100m, using DHD’s estimates of $42.7m, a multiple similar to F8te gets it to $97.7M and WB has nothing to fudge it with until Elvis.

I don't think it will if we look at the multplier fall from 1st to 2nd movie is 3.14X to 2.56X.

This will need atleast 2.3x to make 100m and I think it will have less than 2x.

Movies opening to massive numbers is fun as well, but seeing 20-35% drops for some weeks/months is satiesfying on a different level especially as its rare to see nowadays.

Yeah, it's good but I still want them to break records and have long sexy legs like we have seen with NWH, than what we got with Endgame. It was impressive opening, but really nothing afterwards to talk about. TFA was also amazing run and more like NWH. I also want to see more smaller movies have leggy runs even if they don't make it to 100m gross.

its a complete shame that Disney has abandoned cinemas for Pixar films. From Toy Story 2 up to Toy Story 4 (which is like 18 films or so) I saw every Pixar film in the cinema; whereas I'm probably never gonna watch any pixar film on streaming cause watching movies at home is garbage (soul / onward / turning red, etc).

if these movies were at the bare minimum a simultaneous release, i'd watch them all...

Are they actually planning on releasing future Pixar movies only on D+?

it's much worse than you thought

This is definitely doing 3 billion (if not more)

an over 50% increase since q1 2019 for batman tickets in amc, nearly 40% increase in cinemark

EDIT: seems like i'm reading the information wrong, but increase the in prices should be over 20% since 2019

I don't know much about the US, but here in Europe they have raised the prices of everything, almost 2x what they used to be.

Last night 1 paid around 24 USD TO 27 USD for a single IMAX ticket. It used to be around half than that.
