I think that's my problem with the cliffhanger. After what feels like an hour, that's not a very good way to reward your audience. Too much journey for ultimately a one year wait for the payoff. I guess you could say the end point was unexpected. When the third picks up, I'll be annoyed that I was there...had to wait one year and then go back again.

Anyone else think this movie may actually stay flat or decrease slightly today?
67.5M
62.4M
43.6M
173.5M?
Perhaps wishful thinking for a sequel but IM3 and Thor2 both showed surprises on Saturday.

Fun movie, but can all the Earth characters please just fuck off already? All the momentum comes to a stop every time they cut to see what Jane and her retarded friends are up to. No one curr.Sif>>>>>>>>>>>Jane

Halo 4 killed it for me. Just awful multiplayer trying to be COD instead of Halo.

Even I felt secondhand embarrassment for this guy, but I'll award the man points for attempting a Banderas (I have a thousand different variations at my disposal)
Must be a Gaffer.

People seem to forget that the first season of every Whedon show is usually crappy (minus Firefly I guess)

The smart thing to do would be to just take the overall concept and otherwise ignore the horrible storyline of the games.

Exactly what you'd expect and that's just fine. 7/10 or so for me.

It does border on ludicrous that Bullock is so close to 50. There's absolutely no way in hell she looks a day over 40. She can even pass for mid 30's.
Clearly, Keanu shared the secret to immortality with her back when they made Speed.

Regardless of whether or not her name is used for advertising for her films (and sometimes it is), Wilde shouldn’t be getting offers from major directors, given her box office track record.
I think nepotism definitely played a part in her career.
Well, to be fair, she looks exactly like her character in Rush did in real life, so I get why she got this part.

2. Or whether Gravity will destroy Hunger Games (WW)?

IGN: You’re a big comic book fan, so I’m curious, what was your favorite comic book movie this summer?Punk: Ah, geez, you know what? I haven’t seen anything! I haven’t seen The Wolverine yet. I was at the Iron Man 3 premiere and that was a lot of fun. Honestly, it wasn’t a comic book movie, but I gotta throw it out there for Pacific Rim. I saw that, and that was phenomenal. I had no expectations, no backstory, any characters, no famous franchises to deal with -- so I honestly felt like I was watching Star Wars for the first time, it was that fun.CM PUNK interviewhttp://ign.com/articles/2013/08/17/cm-punk-talks-summerslam-facing-brock-lesnar-daniel-bryans-rise-and-more

I don't like to say "I told you so," but:
http://twitchfilm.com/2013/08/weinstein-thinks-you-are-too-dumb-for-snowpiercer.html
This info seems pretty solid--the source is critic/festival programmer Tony Rayns, who has done as much as anyone to introduce Korean cinema to the west and apparently got the news from Bong himself. So unless the Weinsteins change their mind, be prepared to import an uncut Blu-ray/DVD from somewhere like Korea or France. Luckily, most of the film's already in English, so the language barrier shouldn't be a big issue.

No, I'm just surprised becasue general agreement is that he is Superman but the script was lacking on all accounts.
I felt it was especially lacking on the main character's part. He's just standing around between the punches and doing what others tell him to do for the most part and has to make do with standing there looking sympathetic.

How's that unpopular opinion? That's exactly what everyone thinks. He wa sgreat in a nothing of a role.
Some people here seem to think otherwise. That's why I included it, but you're right, I could have left it out.

Daniel Day Lewis is hit or miss in every movie. When he hits, he's the best in the world. When he misses, he's a massive overactor.
Michael Biehn should have been one of the biggest action stars of all time.
Chris Evans will go the furthest out of all the Avengers.
Cavill was given nothing to work with in Man of Steel, but held his own nicely.
There are only 2 Terminator movies.
Reloaded and Revolutions ain't that bad.
Bale was a terrible Batman, but a good Bruce Wayne.
Space Jam is the GOAT children's movie.
The first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is legit great and one of the best comic book movies of all time. That's all I got for now.

She was pretty? Are you serious? It wasn't until I went on IMDB that I realised she was female.
-
I thought the scenes between Pitt and the female Israeli soldier (she was real pretty) saved the movie.
Dat Pepsi scene though -
See? He should know, he's King of the Black People
Jandrew is Jesse Jackson?

I for one can't wait for Shia's "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down".
