Entgroup has the weekend at $200.02 million.
-
Entgroup has IW at $54.95 million for Sunday, and $202.73 million for the OW.
Thu $9.35 m
Fri $60.89 m
Sat $77.54 m (adjusted down by about $2m from the initial figure)
Sun $54.95 m
$202.73 m

Is this site accurate? It says $79.67 million Saturday for IW in China, and a cume of $149.73 million (just up-ticked a few seconds ago, BTW).
If so, a SAT-SUN drop of less than 37% would mean a $200 million weekend.

Disappointing?
This film is on track to earn TWO-THIRDS OF A BILLION DOLLARS IN PROFIT. On an investment of $450 million.
BTW, the US corporate tax rate has been cut from 35% to 21%. And the effective rate will be even lower.
The Mouse is roaring.

China Box Office: 'Avengers: Infinity War' Crushes Presales Records
[The Hollywood Reporter] 9:42 AM PDT 5/9/2018 by Patrick Brzeski
Marvel Disney's Avengers: Infinity War is revving up to make a massive start in the Chinese film market, the world's second-biggest box-office territory.
The mega-tentpole had notched $47.5 million (RMB 302 million) in presales as of late Wednesday night in Beijing. With a full day to go before the local release Friday, Infinity War has set a new all-time ticket presales record in China, surpassing the estimated RMB 300 million (about $47 million at today's exchange rate) earned by Edko Film's Monster Hunt 2 during the lead-up to Chinese New Year in January.
Infinity War also handily crushed Hollywood's record for presales in China — Universal's Fate of the Furious was the prior record holder with an estimated $25 million (RMB 158 million) in 2017.

Is that a record breaking OW in Korea....or does that record belong to another movie?
Apparently, CA CW is the biggest non-Korean film opening.
This list has overall box office and admissions numbers:

What's taking them so long to post the numbers?! They aren't very big, should be pretty easy to count!

So, there are things like vod and Netflix and blu-Ray. Many times franchises gain fans through this secondary market. Then they go see the sequels in theater. Kind of like a snowball rolling downhill. LOTR is one of the best examples of this.
People will see the new cut as their first experience with the DCEU and get hooked, then get angry they were fooled by overly negative reviews then tell friends how good it is and all will jump on the bandwagon.
Maybe that will happen, but it will take a lot of heavy lifting:
Also, on an adjusted basis, the LotR movies had a modest domestic increase ($477m, $502m, $536m)

imo next weekend BVS will fall around 55%. 23m
The weekend after that Jungle Book opens. So instead of a 45-50% recovery in 4th weekend, will have another ~55% drop. 10.25m
Then when Huntsmen opens it shouldn't drop big but will loose some theaters again, ~41%. 6m
Then a good hold with a ~37.5% drop the weekend Keanu & Mother's Day open. 3.75m
Then ~47% against Civil War. Drops are smaller with small numbers so should not drop much more than that. 2m
That gives 45m in weekends + 4m more in weekends after that = 49m in remaining weekends.
Assuming it has 13m this Mon-Thu followed by a 23m weekend, using that same ratio of 13:23, 49m in remaining weekends implies 28m in remaining weekdays.
So 49m + 28m = 77m more to it's 261m tally for 338m.
If so, it would be slightly below Iron Man 2, adjusted ($341.9 million).
