When marketing and the reviews aren't to blame, that only really leaves the audience. Maybe it just wasn't a good idea to come out the same weekend as two other well-reviewed family movies. But a 63% drop?? That's just...depressing as hell.

Here's hoping!Don't fret, there's a whole weekend ahead that she can't account for.

Great great drop for Hugo if true; the others...disappointing. Especially Muppets.

A low $280M finish isn't anything to sneeze at; although I'm more surprised how far Happy Feet Two will fall over itself. A little late to mention but who on Earth thought to give this film a $140M budget??

Here's hoping; I can't think of a film so reviled by the general public before t came out. Even Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 didn't generate as much disdain.Only based on Nikki's estimates. Variety's put it below.

As if to make things more depressing for Sandler, Jack and Jill STILL opened higher than Funny People.Colored me shocked at Immortals; I was expecting maybe $17M for the weekend but that was optimistic. The most impressive is J. Edgar considering the weak reviews, which has more of an impact on these kind of Oscar-bait flicks.

Wait wait wait how'd Hugo end up costing around $150M?? That's ridiculous; and un-Scorcese like he usually never gets that out of proportion with his budgets...
