He is by far the main character, regardless of the actor's age. This is one of the year's most aclaimed films. Plus, after Moonlight sucess and the continuous influx of new Academy members, we may need to reconsider past assumptions.
Movies like Moonlight and La La Land in years past would not had as much sucess as they had this past ceremony.

I think it'll be a good for a couple of acting noms at the very least. There's some really strong stuff in it.
Yeah. People on AwardWatch who have seen the movie are predicting Chamalet for Best Actor and Stuhlbarg for Best Supporting Actor.
They say Armie Hammer don't have a showy scene, like Stuhlbarg. So, if he was to get a nomination will be a signal that the academy (at least the actors branch) are huge fans of the movie.

There was a release date. Now is ??? everywhere with the DCEU slate.

The success of Wonder Woman is such a SLAP in Marvel's face.
You mean Ike Permulter?
Since Marvel Studio became independent from Marvel Ent. Kevin Feige have been making interesting choices.

Thanks. When I read the Wikipedia article about this comic/property they wrote in a way that I thought the original title was "Valerian & Laureline" and I was not happy about the film title dropping the female character.
But I see I was wrong. -
In France is the comic know as "Valérian" or "Valérian et Laureline"?

Wasn't 2016 one of WB's best years, in terms of box office gross?
Again, why is this up for debate?
And yet Greg Silverman was de facto fired in the end of year. So, cleary, Tsujihara or/and Bewkes was not / were not happy with the movie studio performace. -
According to the portuguese version of wikipedia Sonia is her aunt.

Just saw on my twitter feed the WW news.
Yes!! This is so good.
We do like superheroes, don't we?
Hopefully WB will put our country in the promo tour for JL.- 1

One of the trades wrote a profile on Toby Emmerinch, his first since he took over WB movie studio, and on that piece they said he has only greenlighted 1 movie!
I wonder on what he is working on. Maybe is the DCEU slate?
By the way WB have Bradley Cooper's directorial feature film debut for next year. Considering he is one of "their" guys I imagine they are going to push hard for this movie.- 1

I read somewhere (thr?) Patty wants to direct a limited series before doing a sequel.
-
During interviews Patty has mentioned that she always consider her next project very carefully. Especially the blockbuster-type projects.
Because she know her sucess and faillure will afect other women as well. Male directors don't have to think about that. If she doesn't have confidence in the project, she will pass. The same doesn't happen to Colin Trevorrow or Josh Trank of this world.
If anybody is interested in the subject of female directos in Hollywood I highly recommendo to list the DGA podcast episode that Patty did with Richard Donner.- 3

Grace is trying to hard to be a "centrist" and "impartial".
Its okay to root for a movie. Its okay to highlight the importance of WW sucess to hollywood and how that will shape the optics of movie studios exec.
There is no need to keep pandering to MRA. Which what I think she is doing.
"Backlash" / "Alan Heinberg is not getting enough credit" / Steve Trevor was a co-lead

If In Bruges can get nominate to Original Screenplay so can Get Out.
The 2 screenplay categories are the most "brave" and "courageous" of the Oscars.- 1

TDK had one of the greatest marketing campaign ever.
I remember at the time I used to visit ONTD and the "Y So Serious?" catchprase was everywere.
Even the "I trust Harvey Dent" went viral.- 4

They seriously should have opened this against Alien, not Wonder Woman.
Fox distributed this film. It was the last movie under the deal they had with DW.
From now on all their movies will be distruibuted by Universal because they bought DW. -
Issues 20 and 21 of Wonder Woman comics sold 45k each according to comichron.
Issues 17 and 18 of Harley Quinn comics sold 42k each.
So, at least on the retail comics side it doesn't appear to have a huge gap between the characters.
Every year google keeps track of the most searched halloween costumes people are interested and here are the resulta from last (after
SS and before WW):
1- Harley Quinn
2- Joker
3- Superhero
4- Pirate
5- Wonder Woman
I don't think there is such enourms gap in popularity between these 2 characters.
What I thinking is happening is that people feel that there were burn by WB/DC last year with BvS and SS. And the end result is that they want to hear from critics, from social media and their that the movie is actually good. I hope this means good legs for this movies.
Someone on this thread wrote earlier about Batman Begins and that Box Office. I agree. The Batman was tarnished and that movie BO suffered from it. I think WW would have a far bigger BO if BvS and SS were critical sucess.
