Damn yh forgot about that. It could be big hit Monster Inc was popular her and uk audiences are pretty fond of Pixar films. I am personally a huge fan of most Pixar movies.I am hoping Monsters University does really well as well.

Yeh cannot see a breakout hit in the UK next year Iron man 3,Hobbit 2,and the hangover 3 maybe the biggest films next year.Some months were weaker than others like March and April which were weak as was September and June suffered due to the football and January, May and August were down from last year too. The stand out month was definetly October with three strong performers in Taken 2, Madagascar 3 and Skyfall.I think 2013 will still be a solid year for films but I imagine there won't be a film that breaks £50m apart from The Hobbit pt 2.

Olympics help due to the feel good factor it created as people have been spending more as they believe we are out of the recessionn how wrong they are unfortunately. 2013 could have a big drop i fear.

I can't understand why it is doing so badly in the UK. UK Cinemagoers are hugely loyal to british based films and come out in huge numbers to see them e.g bond and potter recently. Maybe TH is under performing due to school still in till next week and univeristy students still coming home this weekend.

Yh completely sold out round me east London so plenty of cinemas to choose from. I'm going to wait to see it till next week sometime.

More then $20 mil in UK OW more like 22 to 23 mil UK OW.

It does have a completely different fan base to Twilight and HP fans of LOTR/Hobbit are not going to rush out in huge numbers at midnight to see it, it's not that type of movie. Also Midnight openings are much bigger factor now so to have a record breaking midnight opening now is much more impressive then it was back in 2003 when ROTK did it.

Pretty good midnight considering $100 mil plus now. WOM will be good as i have a feeling from what i have heard that the average moviegoer likes it much better then the average critic so WOM will be pretty good.

$800 million at least surely if Pirates 4 made that surely it can i'd say betweens $900 million to $1 billion hype is huge one of the most anticipated films in recent memory OS made the most anticipated since the Phantom menace.

still though, adjusted there would be multiple franchises that would have at least 3 movies with a billion but still a massive achievment for skyfall to hit 1 billion and after that the goals if not already reached will be:
how much above 700+ overseas can it go?
can it reach 300+ domestic?
can it reach 1.1 billion+?
Yh adjusted Stars war would have at least 4 movies over a billion for example and the entire LOTR trilogy would have over a billion each.
