Again, Does sound like a broken record, this is why you need diversity in your programming. And this is why what discovery is doing is whack. Because they had it. They had everything they needed to take the ball in one past everyone! But instead they are just angering everyone.
And I think the big difference between what’s happening now, and say all of the other scandals that have happened over the past several years with creatives versus executives is Zaslav is Truly fucking with peoples livelihoods. Canceling developmental deals, canceling shows where the crew are not going to find replacement jobs anytime soon. The effects of what he’s doing are going to be felt throughout the entire industry. So I suspect people are gonna think twice about wanting to work with WBD if this is the direction they’re going with.
How is Zaslav firing people because he needs to cut losses due to their massive debt any different than Netflix firing hundreds and cancelling shows/movies in the works cause their stock prices tanked?
I'm not gonna defend him completely getting rid of Batgirl, that is a bad look and will hurt their chances with other top talent but if all he ends up doing is cutting underperforming shows and movies that were greenlit before he came on then i don't think its an issue-

The truth is that the 1-2 punch of BvS and SS hurt the franchise as a whole. Anything else is cope from the Snydercult and Ayer wannabes.
Wonder Woman came after BvS and Aquaman after JL, if they can succeed then Guns SS should have done better. Miss me with those weak ass excuses, Taika Waititi's Raganarok wasn't hurt by Dark World.

Gunns suicide squad barely made more than Space Jam 2 a family movie, that audience wasn't even coming out last summer, and also had to deal with day and date, that alone should tell you that his movie didn't connect with audiences like people would like to believe
