I wonder how does Chani and Paul get back together if at all. What would cause her to come back? Being pregnant? They kind of missed that chance in this film right?

Yeah the album is much better than Dune Part One. I thought Dune Part One was kind of boring outside of the film, but I listened to Part Two thrice already. I love the last three cues.

I don't blame that on the Academy, I blame the filmmakers. The 2000s was when top filmmakers made truly great blockbuster films. Since 2010, 90% of the blockbuster films are non-offensive, CGI fest comic book movies. Hopefully filmmakers like Nolan and Villeneuve, along with the decline of superhero films, can get the industry back on track.

I think the dark horse is Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. It could at least steal some technical awards away from Dune: Part Two if it turns out to be amazing.
