its first masterpiece-y review (apart from maybe deadline's) comes from ign; could have funny implications
I thought IGN would only give Marvel movies (not after Endgame though) "masterpiece" type of praises. LOL

I know it is nonsense to compare the two movies by the RT score. But, if it were as good as Babylon, I would be so excited.
In terms of underrated movies, Babylon is one of the greatest . If anyone wants to fight me on that, you are FREAKING welcome.

"I will always take a wild, divisive movie over a safe and boring one."
Sorry for double post. I guess I have to say something more to negate that.
I cannot help thinking the majority of the criticisms of the movie comes from the reactions to that Guardian article.

So Swift with 50 dollar tickets doesn't hit 200 million domestic, but she's gonna somehow add 500+ million to the box office of an r rated superhero comedy by virtue of her cameo?
What a take...
Taylor Swift can be the kingmaker in the upcoming US election if she wants to be. Also, Asian countries are trying to get her to hold concerts in their countries and it becomes kind of a diplomatic drama.
In terms of celebrity status, she is basically the goddess-empress. If you still don't understand how come she can add 500+ million. Well, I gotta say...

Look, Disney already has the Eras Tour on Disney Plus. Blake Lively being a good friend of hers. Disney should take advantage of these things. Throw 20 million at TS to ask her to make a song or music video or something. It is gonna be the best marketing tool they will ever get.

As proven with the incredible box office success's of Cats and Amsterdam.
Cats and Amsterdam are different kinds of shit that is beyond redemption. Deadpool 3 ? It is gonna be the good shit. It is gonna be a whole new ball game whereas you will really see the magic of TS effect.

Idk how much a cameo alone moves that needle.
Now if she's doing a song like Celine Dion did the last one...
Let me get this straight. Taylor Swift is THE ONE. Every shit she touches turns into gold.
A cameo will push this movie to 1.5 billion. Movie song with MV and stuff? You are looking at 2 billion, BRO.

Then we have the Taylor Swift Cameo rumors which I note everybody connected with the film is being very coy about........
If Taylor Swift is in this shit, this shit is guaranteed to be have least 1.5 billion.

Has anyone forgotten that Ridley Scott is already 86 years old? If I were him, I would definitely do anything I want with my (probably final) movie "on the way out". EPIC DUMP FUN ? Bring it on ! inject that shit into my vein!

Even if this turned out to be one of the worst movies of all times, at least it would still be beautiful to look at. No one can dispute that it at worst is a beautiful disaster.

So with a 200 million budget...if there's a third one what are the odds you think WB says they gotta have Batman in it
Damn, I didn't know the budget ballooned to 200 million. It put things into perspective. There might be a slight chance that it may not turn a profit.
-
If it turned out to be a success, then finish the trilogy, make Batman the "antagonist" in the third movie, find Timothée Chalamet to play him.

My brother is considering going to the theater to see this spectacular badness.
I don't blame your brother for being horny for wanting to see Sydney Sweeney on the big screen.

Even if this movie was as good as Gladiator, it would still be a beautiful box office disaster. Ridley Scott is not gonna get any big budget movie after this. It is the end for the old man.

She is so funny.
Let's be honest here. At this point, you have to pay her AGAIN to make her watch Madame Web.

This movie is most likely awful and a flop. But it got a great release date. Just release it as scheduled and lessen your losses by benefiting from the lack of competition. What is there to think about, WB?
If WB thinks they can think make a better movie by keeping on reshooting scenes, haven't they learnt the phrase "you can't polish a turd." ?

I screwed up with my early 424m prediction (DOM:224m + INT:200m). It is just misguided and way too optimistic.
Seeing all these critics reviews, audience reception, early OS numbers, I need to revise it downwards.
My new prediction, DOM: 180m + INT: 160m = 340m. I hope I am not unrealistically optimistic about it. I tried to have faith. But the bad signs keep popping up each day. I just cannot ignore them and It would look ridiculous on my part if I keep my 424m prediction.

Twitter is dragging them, as expected.
If that is the case, expect a few more RT % drops for The Flash.
The whole situation is just so sad.

Even though the RT score is not yet stable and has the tendency to drop below 70%, now I am actually more interested in its IMDB score.
I will make a guess here. The IMDB score will be around 6.5-6.8 , thoughts?

Now that the cat is out of the bag and the hype around this movie has kind of died down. I think we can have a better grasp of its box office performance and make a much more realistic prediction.
The chance of making over-100 OW is basically slim to zero. I will give it 80m. I absolutely have no idea about the word of mouth after the RT score dropped. The multiplier is probably 2.8 and makes the DOM total 224m.
The Flash ,just as the DCEU, is a brand that is favored more by the North America audience. The INT total should be a bit less than the DOM.
So, all in all, DOM+INT = 224 +200 =424m
Given than WB spends so much on the marketing, will this be another bomb? My fellow box office junkies, thoughts?
