I can't speak to whether it's a glorified remake of Twister because - to tell ya the truth - I could never finish it.
But I can say that it's tested well and there's a consensus that Powell steals the film blind. Full-on big dick movie star energy on display which - to be fair - can be gathered by the trailer/Super Bowl spot.
Some even thought Daisy Edgar Jones was a straight-up bore in the lead and preferred more of Powell.

Zero doubt they'll play off nostalgia for the IP as a whole - specifically those first two films which were gigantic, beloved hits - and conveniently ignore the latter two.
But are we really sure about Shrek 5??

as long as he can avoid falling off any horses he still pretty easily clears the best career for a Superman actor bar. attractive bland actors like him usually only get a couple years of real relevance he's doing pretty well by that standard.
That's the funny thing.
He technically beat the Superman curse because the public didn't click to him in the role or especially those films in the first place.
And he quickly turned the tide with Mission: Impossible - Fall Out and The Witcher... until he quit the latter... for Superman... again... to the exact same indifference/"Nah I'm good, bro" reactions from the public.
I'm open-minded on this. But Highlander has never been that... commerical?

Henry can't catch a break.
He's had more chances than many and the general public keeps saying "I'm good, thanks."
Nobody made him quit The Witcher - the one role that actually clicked with audiences - like he did.
He'll never not get work. But he's not a victim here either.

I for one am shocked - SHOCKED - that Film Twitter was dead wrong and the general public didn't come out to support for Melissa Barrera!?

could still reach the century mark.
It'll crack $100M just to save face, and that is that with Ghostbusters.

I wonder if Universal has any concession plans for Twisters. Those could be almost as...creative...as The Dune Popcorn Bucket.
Shaped like Glenn Powell's head. Cowboy hat, shades and all. Instant best sellers.

By my count GB should be $16.9-17M SAT but if Sony sticks to $16M FRI est, it should be $17.5M SAT. With that, it may hit $45M+.
Here comes Ghostbusters 5. Possibly as soon as 2026.

Honestly, it seems like it's the first "bad" day of Dune's run yet with a 39% drop from last Saturday it's still not even bad, it's amazing.
Oh expectations, how you have ruined it for us
