  1. Yea, the part about buying a ticket for a friend but only at e-ticket theaters is useless to me as there isn’t a theater within a 50 mile radius of me that has e-ticketing lol

The surcharge thing is only for opening weekend I think(read it somewhere else) and for certain showtimes. It’s meant to try and drive business to the week days a little more. We tend to see most movies during the week or earlier in the day on weekends, so whatever.

  2. I’m already a Stubs member so I’d be interested in seeing what they come up with. We have an AMC where I live and that’s where we go to se pretty much every movie. I do like MP though. Just in the last month and a half me, my wife and son have seen IW, Solo and I2. My son and I saw DP2 and Upgrade while my wife and a couple of her friends saw O8. There’s plenty of movies still to come this Summer so I’m definitely getting my money’s worth.

The only downside is that AMC doesn’t let you use the Stubs card toward the tickets that you get with MP. I can only use it at the concessions stand.

I am very haply at those who have chosen to see book club and have subsequently enjoyed it quite a bit. Now I will urge all of you to go seek out adrift and give that a chance as well.

My wife and a couple of her friends went and saw it and they really enjoyed it. Not really my thing but I’ll probably watch it later on down the road.

  4. Saw it

I thought it was a fun, entertaining movie. Good action and humor as well.

Acting wise, everyone did a good job but I especially thought Alden did really well given the amount of pressure that was on him.

The train sequence was definitely a highlight and I liked all the little twists and turns in the last act.

Wish it was doing better box office wise because with what they set up near the end I’d like to see where they were planning on going with it.

  5. I really think LF needs to stop treating SW like a CBM property and stop trying to pump out a movie every year. The only thing I liked about them leaving Solo in May was it allowed for there to be a little more time between it and EP9. By the end of the year Solo will pretty much be out of most people’s minds and we’ll still have a whole year to go till 9 comes out.

The problem is that they’re clearly not taking what’s happening with this movie to badly as they’ve got A LOT of movies being worked on over the next few years between the recently announced Mangold directed Boba Fett movie, a possible Obi-Wan movie, the RJ trilogy and the series of movies from the GoT guys.

I’m seeing Solo in about an hour from now. Most of the comments I’ve seen about it on IG, Twitter and such have been mostly positive. Not glowing or anything but positive.
