I tend to think the late night TUE gross being such a high percentage of the overall opening day gross (for a midweek opener), could be a sign of more general audiences not being aware of the date change. If $8.0 m is the number, the percentage would be 28.75% as opposed to the more typical 20% - 27% range for midweek openers of this size. But we'll see.

As far as i know there were no midnight shows for Anchorman 2.
I don't know in general, but at my local theater here in NorCal there was a 9pm and a midnight showing last night.
I don't think there's anything 'wrong' with the late night # for Anchorman 2. I'm personally still higher than the low-ball #s out there for this weekend and still expect it to be the #2 film of December by a comfortable margin, but that late night # also doesn't scream massive break-out to me either (i.e. $200 m+ total). In saying that, obviously extremely early.

Thinking the late release date change is/will prob. have an effect on Anchorman 2 WED/THU. That said, still not crazy about that late night # being closer to This Is the End than Hangover III, when it comes to break-out potential.

The new American Hustle # is also a revised estimate.
Homefront was down just 28.5% on SUN, so def. looking like SAT was deflated by the weather.

Yeah, it's a revised estimate from WB this morning.
WB's revised weekend estimates are almost always very close to actuals, but usually change slightly with actuals.

FRI: $31.135 m
SAT: $24.425 m
SUN: $18.100 m

For what it's worth, Lionsgate is now saying $16.0 m for A Madea Christmas instead of $16.16 m. The .16 was prob. just a typo on their part.

Based on those #s, Frozen and Catching Fire weekends could both be about $1 m lower than I was thinking this morning (and was already factoring in the weather a bit at the time), so looks like there was some overall slowing on SAT to me.
