Thanks RTH.
So after 2 weekends IW is sitting in 14th spot on the AUS all time list. Not bad.

Man, sessions are packed for today. Will be very interesting seeing where OD comes in at.

All quiet on the promo front for Infinity War. Haven't seen anything on tv yet, or have I missed it? Is that normal almost 2 weeks out for a tent pole movie?

Trading restrictions depend on the state. Sessions start 10am in Sydney.
Ah ok. QLD still behind the times.
Do we have a list of the top 10 grossing movies for the year so far?

It depends on the state. It seems to be 10am up to 1:30pm start times.
I checked back and The Avengers had midnights. Exactly the same release day.
I thought trading hours were restricted on Anzac Day? QLD cinemas can't trade before 1:30pm

IIRC, Australia has Queens birthday next weekend. This should hold pretty well next week then, right?
Not in WA and QLD.

Heading to a 2pm showing and it's pretty much sold out. Looks like pre-sales are very strong today.

Do we have pre-sale tracking in Aus? What's Civil War expected to do here?

So it had roughly the same opening day as FF7 but will be around $1m behind after 4 days.
Anecdotal but I think a lot of people went away this year for Easter. Since the start of the year work (hospitality) has been up 15% on last year week in week out but has been down this Easter. Broncos v Cowboys GF replay was meant to be a sell-out but was 6,000 short.
Could also be the poor reviews hurting its BO

Event cinemas opened in North Lakes yesterday and looks like no one knows.
Booked tickets for BvS for this Sunday and practically every showing is empty, same with today and Saturday. Quite weird considering how big North Lakes is now and the fact everyone was begging for it to open.

There was a TDKR TV spot as well.I wonder what will have promo's during State of Origin tonight. TASM or TDKR?Actually, neither. Ice Age 4 has paid the big bucks.

I heard it was pretty soft during the day (obviously back to a normal working day after the public holiday) but late afternoon/night sessions were going pretty well.I don't think we'll see anything spectacular from Thursday's total.Any idea about sellouts and comparing it to the OD?

Hi guys, long time lurker first time poster.Heard on the radio that The Avengers raked in $5.8M on opening day. Pretty impressive considering a lot of cinemas weren't opened for morning screenings!

They do indeed! Lol
Slightly above your high range DeeCee, not bad. I was more thinking around BP's numbers.
