First thing WB should do, is being worried about Snyder's health. Dude lost at least 20 pounds, judging by his latest pictures.
Dude got 3 years working on BVS and he also probably had 2 years working on MOS. I don't think he'll be able to get a third time. If WB doesn't boot him ( I don't think they should do it, Snyder isn't a bad director per se ), at least bring a co-director just like Captain America Winter Soldier and Civil War. These 2 movies are huge. I don't think a director alone would be able to helm them.
Bring someone to help Snyder. Bring a decent writer.
I really like Snyder's movies. Yes, I even liked Sucker Punch for what it was trying to be, though it failed. lol. However, WB needs to see the word of mouth, read the reviews and see what worked and what it didn't work in BVS.
Then again, careful what you wish for. Maybe Snyder gets fired and they get a bad director to helm JL. Then everyone will be asking for Snyder's return.
I like MOS and Batman v Superman, but I wouldn't be that upset if they let Snyder go.

Maybe it might beat DH2 for worst drop from first to second weekend record for a OW that size?
It's breaking all of the records.

How was it a risky film? I'm still waiting for the explanation. Just because critics and people didn't like it doesn't mean it was a risky film. It just means people didn't like it. Deadpool was more of a riskier film than this and critics plus the general audience loved it. BvS wasn't a risky film. Unless you consider going down with Snyder on a sinking ship, a risky move.
There was quite a few risky things he put into the movie, but I obviously can't explain them here because they would be classed as spoilers.... but you know which parts was risky to some people. And yes, asking Snyder to direct to this movie was also a risky move from WB.

I still can't believe people called this movie an "art film." Or a "risky" film. Because trying to make a movie with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman with the tone of TDK is such a bold move.
It was a risky film regardless of what people say, and it's proving it with the critics and the general audience.

This weekend is interesting, to say the least.
When I saw the initial $18M headline the number seemed high to me, so the downward revision makes sense. However, this is a drastic drop. There is no way that Tsujihara is okay with this, though it's unlikely that WB makes any public moves regarding its DCEU slate immediately. ("Unlikely" as in, it ain't happening.) According to Deadline, BvS isn't expected to make a profit even with a $900M+ WW total. The way the numbers are plunging in many markets is going to make WB's bottom line on the movie even more dire.
One has to wonder what this does to Tsujihara's regime, even moreso than what the box office means for Snyder.
I can't imagine Tsujihara will be keeping his job if Suicide Squad has the same problem.

Walking out of Batman vs Superman, my pal said, "That is the last time we will see Henry Cavill in that suit."
I tend to think he's right. Lest we forget both Justice League: Mortal and Superman Lives were cancelled weeks before filming was scheduled to start. So at the very least I imagine Snyder's Justice League is delayed from its production start-date in a few weeks.
Cavill isn't the problem. All the cast in Batman v Superman did a good job..... and yes, even Jesse did a decent job.

Nuke the DCU from orbit. Start from scratch. Don't copy Marvel. Don't do the universe thing. And above all, hire talented filmmakers.
I want a DCEU.

I'm not sure if they'll replace Snyder or not. I guess it's a little too late at this point to change him. I suppose they could delay the movie, but I'm not sure if that'll be for the best interest.
We're all making assumptions at this point.

"Think about these characters first", LOL, like Zack doesn't care about these characters, guess what? he does, even if you don't agree with his take on it. I love what Zack is doing, like many others, unfortunately, it seems the rest of the world is mixed on the matter, so, in the sake of making more money and being more widely liked, WB will probably give a few guidelines, as long as it doesn't dilute what makes those DC movies DC, because to me, it's ten times more interesting than what the competition is doing (and I love what they're doing, there's just no surprise, no risks).
I'm not spinning anything, 900 M WW would definitely be disappointing but still good, we've all become jaded with films like AOU doing 1.6 billion or TFA doing 2 billion +. BvS is coming off of MOS which had a mixed reception too, it's not coming off of TDK or TDKR, so, this is growth, all WB can do is take what they get, make up with merchandise, and DVD/BR sales and whatever, and take notes for next time.
WB is taking risks, and it's not working with everyone, they'll just have to make some adjustements.
They can't keep taking these risks.
There's no way Justice League will get the amount of buzz that Batman v Superman got.

Then WB should have made a much better movie than this.
I like the movie a lot but it should have been much much better.
Maybe they did think it was a good movie. Apparently elmayimbe said other cuts of the movie got tested really positively to the one that was shown in the theater. Not sure if it's true, but that's what he said.

I don't think one can sugar coat BVS. MOS was mixed. This is not mixed. A % has liked it but the drop is showing it's been badly received.
Removing 27.7m previews, it's falling 70%+ Friday to Friday. That's very bad.
WB will be paying more much attention by this now. They'll be a concerned how this movie has performed after the opening weekend.
Can't say I'm not disappointing by this, considering there isn't much competition to top it off.
-
Very disappointing all things considering.
Yeah, this movie will make a decent profit, but I'd imagine WB would have expected much better for this movie. I did really like this film, but I can't say I'm not disappointed that it's not going to make more than it is.

1 billion is still probable.
In my opinion, it's pretty much dead.... unless it gets some miracle legs after this weekend.

What if WB secretly gives enough people $20 each to go and see the movie again? That's one way WB can fudge the numbers to get it over a billion.

I have yet to see the The Revenant.

I'll be glad when BvS is out of the theaters.... I'm kinda hoping Civil War gets here quickly so we can focus on that box office run. lol

I was expecting it to be around 7.3m, so pretty decent hold.
Should be around 60m this weekend.

These BvS threads don't half turn out to be pathetic.

Have you got a grudge against DC movies or something?
