    Feb 21: Black Widow
    May 21: Eternals
    Aug 21: Shang-Chi
    Dec 21: Spider-Man 3

If November doesn't work for Black Widow, what makes you think February would? Seems like a longer delay could be in order.

That said, after such a long period of time without the MCU, they're going to be coming like a sack of marbles rolling down a hill.

Not super important what order these movies are in, but what is important to note is that there seems to be pretty much no change in the (small) number of people going to theaters. Compare these numbers to the list up at the top of this page from July 6.

    1..Beauty and the Beast (Dis) 527 theaters, 3-day: $467K/lifetime cume: $504.5M/Wk  no. 1 of re-release

    2…Iron Man (Dis) 462 theaters, 3-day: $430K, lifetime cume: $319M/wk. 1 of rerelease

    3…Bohemian Rhapsody (20th) $240K, 376 theaters, lifetime cume: $216.7M/wk no. 1 of re-release

    4. ..Jurassic Park (Uni) 246 (+19) theaters, 3-day: $210K (-6%),lifetime cume: $406.8M /wk no. 1,415

    5…Goonies (WB) 138 theaters (+4), 3-day: $202K (-5%), lifetime cume: $66.8M/wk no. 1,833

    6…Relic (IFC) 133 theaters (+7), 3-day: $177,5K (-25%)/cume: $825,6K/Wk 3

    7…Gremlins (WB), 64 theaters (+5) 3-day: $155K (+11%)lifetime cume: $154.1M/wk no. 1,885

    8….Ghostbusters (Sony) 175 theaters (-98) 3-day: $105K (-14%), lifetime cume: $243.5M/wk 1,885 (or week 3 of rerelease)

    9..Most Wanted (Eone/Saban) 80 (+8) theaters 3-day: $103K (-25%)/Cume $317,6K/Wk 2

  3. Didn't we hear that there were something like 200 or 300 theaters open a week ago? It's just that most of them are playing movies that aren't getting reported, either because the big studios aren't bothering with the tiny numbers right now, or because they're super old movies from the 80s.

For example, the drive-in here in Toledo finally opened 2 weeks ago. One screen is showing Trolls World Tour with Dolittle, and the other screen is showing Knives Out with Bad Boys For Life.

Here's an example of a theater that's currently open down in Texas, that's showing a mix of 2020 and classic movies. https://weatherford.filmalley.net/

And they're actually adding The Wretched this weekend. Same for its sister theater in Terrell. So that'll be a few more theaters added to The Wretched's theater count, even though those 2 theaters actually opened a week ago.

All very confusing right now. We'll never have a complete picture, though there might be a few movies that have their totals adjusted a few months from now.

Not that we should expect any big OWs.  Just maybe not catastrophic ones.  And perhaps, just perhaps, better legs, not only from the lack of competition, but folks taking their sweet time to come back into a theater/seeing if it is safe.

And yet August and September look pretty crowded, at least with a large number of movies that I'd ordinarily see under normal circumstances. Which seems like it wont leave much room for legs.

  5. Back in February, Hasbro announced that this fall they're finally making a ton of Marvel Legends figures from the various X-Men movies:

You have to scroll down a little bit to where it says

"X-Men (Fox MCU) 20th Anniversary + Comics sets (September 2020)" to see the pics

    -Negasonic Teenage Warhead!!!

-They've got a Magneto/Xavier 2-pack with swap-out heads for both sets of actors.

-Cable from the Deadpool 2 movie comes with a teddy bear on his waist!

-plus I believe more were due to be announced in a month or two (probably at SDCC, so who knows when and where now), presumably main characters similar to the Funko character selection above

Obviously if you're attached to some movies more than others, you'll like those episodes more, but that's true of pretty much every making-of documentary show. The one element the show does best is whenever the old cast and crew members get reunited with old props or costumes. Gives out all the feels

Sounds good. I expect any reality-based docu-series to rely on sentiment to a certain degree: any documentary that doesn't would be cold and uninteresting. My fear was that it would be nothing BUT that, so all good otherwise.

Thanks again, I'll definitely add it to the list.

Indeed, the very first episode of Prop Culture is the Mary Poppins one. A fine movie, but one I've never terribly cared about all that much. But I was legit moved after watching that episode. To see the memories come flooding back for some of those folks, after more than 50 years, that alone was worth making this show.

But I thought the Nightmare Before Christmas one was damn cool. Danny Elfman showed up and they had all sorts of incredible props from the stop-motion filming.
