Birdman did $60.8M, but that didn't have DiCaprio. Wolf of Wall Street did an impressive $275M but that had mass-appeal.
$140M.

It wont be a bomb but its nothing that great.
Leo is Great
Hardy is just his mumbling self.
I admit there are some moments when that good ol' hardy mumble kicks in, but overall he gives a great performance in the movie.

I really can't wait to see this a second time. What exactly are people not enjoying about it?

It's so interesting that Japan is a leggy market for movies when for videogames it's the opposite & by far extremely front loaded for most big games. Just an interesting thing I see as I watch videogame sales closely too.
Huh? you must be that darthdevidem spamming-individual they stealth-permabanned on vgchartz.

Good number, if it holds. Expecting a fairly average Wed. drop.

Because Avatar beat Avengers?
Good luck with that logic. Avatar 2 will perform nothing like a sequel.

Personally, I'm not understanding the "told you so" reactions I'm seeing on this thread. Even the head "ringer" around this place was predicting under 300m and that a decrease was inevitable. There's nothing to get all excited about these numbers either way, IMO.
I thought it was all part of the Christmas spirit?

Just saying no 5 yrs per film like Juggernaut 2009.. We will have to wait abit for the franchise to start again and then the world will just have Avatar, Avatar and more avatar...
I think the 4th is rumoured to be a prequel .
That still doesn't explain how Avatar 2 will beat TA's gross.
-
Actually not....Juggernaut 2s shines in 2015-2016....And then we get the Juggernaut 3 one yr later.. They making 2-3 back to back then part 4.
Ehm..ok?

Yes, but that is your opinion. I agree with you that ROTK is emotional in a few parts. The "My friends, you bow to no one" scene gets me every time. But emotion doesn't equate to it being a better film overall imo. IMHO, FOTR is on a different level than the sequels., hell it's on a different level than most films.
I think TTT brings that level even higher.

I can't wait until Avatar 2 rips Avengers 2 into pieces.
It's going to be a looong wait.

Congratulations, Floppit X2, you're going to have the 9th biggest opening weekend of the year...10th, really, that is if you hit above ST2's $70.5m (and that opened on Thursday, too!!!)! hahahahahaha

Great number for AH, if that estimate holds. How come almost nobody talks about it?

I believe THG's run has been more amazing in NA.I always knew that TA was gonna be huge, but I never imagined THG to even come close to where it stands right now. On a WW basis though , TA's run has been more impressive. For super fans like us... who cares? They have both done really, really well (especially Avengers) and that's all that matters to people like us.Hasn't TA's run been amazing? I think it's amazing...

Okay, that actually makes sense. You may not be aware, but the only reason BS made some money OS is because it kinda resembled Transformers movies.
-
...what?TR will bomb OS too. It's not in 3D and lacks Transformers connection.

Rth, come bathe us in BO knowledge!

...Or maybe you just have a short attention-span.I know, it is something of a relief to freed from that long monstrosity of a narrative.
