  1. Wasn't there a woman in that sauna? Since she looked older than the other kids, I just assumed she's the topless guy's wife. I also don't think it's Oaken’s family, just a random family visiting the sauna. I can't say for sure though.

There's a hypothesis that this big guy is Oaken's husband and these all are their kids (i have no idea why they have so many kids)
  2. What did you think of the Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione relationships in the series?

In books, i'm okay with it. These pairings are not bad at all. In movies, they really done goofed with Ginny's actress choice.

  3. Well, that seems like a no-brainer to be a big hit in Sweden. :P

That's actually a movie I regret not seeing in the theater. Sure, the plot is threadbare and is just an excuse  for the cast to move from song to song, and Pierce Brosnan's singing is an assault on the ears, but damn can Amanda Seyfried sing. She's been one of my favorite actresses ever since I saw MM.

I may be the only person on earth who actually liked Brosnan's singing in that movie. Same with Crowe's in Les Mis.

  4. And Frozen keeps chugging along.

It's almost dead here, though. It's already out of the most theatres in my city and will have few showings on a weekend, and that's all. Other cities will drop it next week, i assume. Still a fantastic run.

  5. Hey guys I'm new to this thread and site in general! In fact Frozen's miraculous BO run inspired my interest in this kind of stuff. Just one question: I see that everyone seems to have China pegged at around 30M when it opens next week. Don't you think it could be quite a bit higher than that? I mean just based on DM2's run there and how amazing Frozen has done in South Korea I feel like it could do well above 30 but maybe it's not a fair comparison. What do you guys think?

Some people are voicing concern that Chinese aren't really in favor of musicals, so it's probably won't get more than DM2. Les Mis grossed 9.9. Frozen already surpassed any expectations, so results are unpredictable. But 30 is just a safe number to assume at this point, looking at Frozen's popularity in SK. I expect it to surprise us again and do 50.

  6. Agree....I think a Billion is a lock now.Friends of mine that live in Japan told me yesterday that the whole country is looking forward to the film. Their daughter's class is even taking a field trip in March to see it. They believe it will do more than MU.

That's some awesome anecdotal evidence of Frozen's hype in Japan. Marketing seems to be working, alright. Any news about the amount of ads on streets and such? People said MU's stuff was everywhere.

  7. Frozen's getting a sing-a-long in the UK too now, on the 7th of Feb, a week before half-term holidays. At £35.6m currently, might be able to stretch for £40m, which would mean around $65m in total.

I wish all countries can get sing-along version.
