Do note that both Hong Kong and the Netherlands have over $7m in previews rolled in last weekend, without that we are looking at a much better hold.

“It is weird to have records in USD”I mean, it’s not that weird considering that Disney is an American company and as such it only matters how much dollars they take from overseas markets, their profits are in dollars. For a local movie, of course, local currency would be more meaningful.
It is weird because we are talking country specific. If you are going to make a list of the best performing movies in country you will always look at admission and the local currency because that what the country uses. USD is just a conversion for the global boxoffice but has no effect on the 'all time' tittle associated with a specific country. I mean look at the UK, the pound was once 2x the dollar, no clearminded person is going to make a list saying x movie is the number 1 in UK because it had a 60% currency advantage.
And yeah even in countries own currency you have inflation and ticket price hikes so even those records will be call in to question (the same as we do when new DOM boxoffice records are set).
I do agree that the money is the most important thing for the company, thats why we have global gross list in USD and compare all movies worldwide. But for recordholing in specific countries USD has no real place and should only be used if there is nothing else.

USD is much more meaningful than you think. Avatar 2 drop about 30% in admit globally and that USD worldwide gross reflect that drop pretty well.
In Brazil, Titanic's admit was about 17m+ which translate to $70m back in 1997-98. Today, IO2's admit in Brazil run pretty close to Titanic and that USD gross reflect this relative strength too, unlike lc which IO2 is like more than triple of Titanic while in fact both have similar number of admits. Admit is very useful but failed to account for variety of viewing format of PLF which only happened in current cinematic landscape.
It is only valuable as in the fact that it aproximates preformance in admission and local currency (less valuable with high varience currencies).

Only in local currency, Inside Out 2 is still fairly away from Endgame record in dollars (Endgame made USD 85M in Brazil, while IO2 didn’t even cross USD 70 yet); Endgame also is still the number one in Brazil considering admissions (almost 20 million). It is weird to have records in USD, I mean imagine if we had a domstic top 100 list but in Euro or Pounds, that would be wild... Like others have said, admission numbers ofc are valid and are more robust.

Deadpool 3 (T-9): 38.2k
pace isn’t good
Pace on weekdays will be more important (slumps in weekend arer very normal), also the last 2-3 days are very important. Ofc I do agree that the increases haven't been amazing so far..

The netherlands should have a shot at $15-20m, I am guessing Belgium will do about $10m so it should comfortably beat that. That said it did get a very strange release date and I don't know why.

Inside Out II need to do more than what SLAM DUNK did in yen to reach $100M
I don't know why people feel so easy to say when the exchange rates is unfavorable
Even with a good exchange rate it is a big risk to say the movie would reach $100m. I mean it has been long since a disney animation movie really clicked in Japan.

With China delivering somewhere around $16M opening, will this movie win international BO this weekend?
It is opening in a lot of markets, so it will increase over last week. Should go over $100m for the weekend I think. IO2 opens in the Netherlands but expect a decent drop this weekend.
So yeah it will win

IO2:
After a 122k wednesday it ended the week with 5.075.443 admission. Meaning it had a week of 618k admission. (Thursday to Wednesay). Last few weekdays were helped by some school being out in part of the country. (60k +Monday and Tuesday)
DM4:
Also good news for DM4, it added another 398k this week and is gaining on IO2. It is sitting at 1.6m admission so far. It should play very well over the next 2-3 weeks, it will be hard to beat the minions but a total over 3m admission seems locked. It will need very good post holiday legs to get to 4m admission.

Passed Minions 2 to be #4 most attended, unfortunately it won’t reach Toy Story 4 unless next 2 weeks are flat
It will all come down to the holiday period,it will need a good next 3 weeks! But it will have to be very good the next weeks, cause curently it looks like missing TS4 indeed.

Well IO2 is increasing 10% today, lol.tomorrow we’ll see how much of the strength was weekday specific but I wouldn’t be surprised if the FSS increases too. Hunt for 10M back on
Damm i really though we were in for the 35-45% drop week to week. If the trend continous over sat en sun you are right with saying 10m is back on.

TS4 did 1425K in 27/6 to 3/7. After that added another 2900K.
IO2 did 800K. Around half of TS4. Meh. Would mean just another 1.65M for it aka 6.1M. Though I guess TS4 had more spillover being Week 2 vs Week 3 here and late legs could still match.
Next few weeks will be heavily boosted, and compared to Elemental it's going in to the winter break with a lot higher base numbers and no Barbie / Oppenheimer opening against it.

IO2 made 108.324 on Wednesday, with a quite a bit steaper drop than yesterday, - 34% on last week. It will bounce back on Thursday, will be interesting to see if we can hold a sub 20-25% drop this weekend.
