It's official.  Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping will sell exactly one ticket.

Actually, I'm 50/50 on whether I'm seeing it or not. Some stuff looks decent, but it kinda feels like something I'll probably rent on a boring weekend. I might watch it in the theater to support Samberg, but reviews will probably be the big deciding factor for me.

If Deadpool 2 is March 2, 2018 then what is the  Untitled Fox/Marvel film on October 6, 2017? Gambit?  New Mutants?

Also I doubt Fox is going to keep that June 29, 2018 date, that's one week after the  Jurassic World Sequel.

I'm pretty sure the October movie's gonna be Gambit. I believe Gambit's planned to begin filming this fall, and New Mutants is still in development.

So lets talk about those Fox release date changes (there's too many for a specific thread): http://deadline.com/2016/05/warner-bros-maze-runner-the-death-cure-dylan-obrien-1201764118/ (Gotta love how Deadline can't get the studio correct in the URL  )

    Morgan: Sep 2, 2016

Keeping Up with the Jonses: Oct 21, 2016

    Rules Don't Apply: Nov 11, 2016

    A Cure For Wellness: Feb 17, 2017

    Red Sparrow: Nov 10, 2017

Murder on the Orient Express: Nov 22, 2017

    Maze Runner: Jan 12, 2018

    Predator: Feb 9, 2018

    Untitled Marvel: Mar 2, 2018

    Untitled Marvel: Jun 29, 2018

    Alita: July 20, 2018

Maze Runner is dead. February 2017 is getting even more crowded, stuff needs to move. Interesting that they're still keeping the third Marvel movie close to Ant-Man, unless it's Deadpool (which it probably won't be since filming begins this fall) they should move away now that they're closer to JW2.

President's Day next year's gonna be a bloodbath. And a Marvel movie sandwiched between Black Panther and Flash?

  4. With Alice 2's box office following in the footsteps of other "Really? That's a thing?" followups like Ride Along 2 and The Huntsman: Winter's War, it makes me wonder what sequels next year will suffer the same fate of a dramatic drop from its predecessor? I don't know about you, but Cars 3 and Pirates 5 aren't looking so hot right about now.

  5. The movie theater will always be my go-to place to see a movie. I'm in complete darkness, and I'm fully engaged with just the screen. At home with my television, I feel there are more distractions surrounding me, and I'm not as engaged. However, I prefer going to movies with smaller crowds, which is why I always choose a matinee over an evening showing, unless my day's completely booked.

Well, 15M for MONEY MONSTER seems pretty lackluster when you consider the 3 Oscar Winners starring in this movie along with Foster Directing it and the salary they probably commanded, doesn't bode well for their Star Power which seems to be fading it seems based on this number??? Perhaps they should've released this on a different weekend away from CW???

What are you talking about? It's an old-skewing thriller with a $27 million budget and limited marketing. It's getting around $55M or so DOM, so it's doing perfectly fine. (Also, Jack O'Connell hasn't even been nominated for an Oscar).

Hey, I'm just a noob. I honestly thought the chatter might not be welcome, and might distract from Panda's hard work. And trying to look through all the pages in the thread would be a bit of a chore. And I certainly didn't want a list when there were only ten films announced.

And it's not like I'm here for no reason. I voted in this thing.

But let me know how I can make you even more angry, please.

Lol, you can't even spell right.

And I wasn't dismissing an entire artform.

Why did you decide to shit up this thread, anyways? This was supposed to be fun, and you had to pipe in with your ignorant bullshit.

Anyways, I view it as different mediums. If live-action is painting, then animation is sculpting. Neither is inherently superior.

Honestly, Baumers opinion infuriates me, and given that he chose to express it in this thread of all places, I'm not sure if I even want to visit this board anymore.

Hey, there's this really great movie that came out recently that's all about tolerance and accepting the ideas that people are different. It's called Zootopia, and I think you would learn a lot from that movie.

    Weekend Thoughts:

On a snarky note, it's funny to see Batman v Superman and My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 so close in weekend grosses when the latter debuted to 1/10 of the former on the same weekend.

Fun fact: my nearest movie theater got rid of Batman v Superman this week, but it's still showing Greek Wedding a month and a half later.
