Tuesday Dec 31 Box Office: Dramatic -34% New Years Eve fall from #3 to #7 for comedy 'Anchorman 2' $1.7M/Cume $90.4M.
LOL. Nikki says 1.7m for Anchorman 2. RTH says 3.2m. I wonder which one is more accurate?

So NFL talk is really a forbidden topic in the numbers thread? Wut? LOL
God, I wish it was. American sport is so boring.

Geez, TITE is down to 6.9/10 at IMDB. Philistines.
TITE?

Good number for Thor. I'm off to watch some Loki fanvids on youtube.

meh numbers.
Is the movie any good?
-
I think CF is going to do around 28m, so around a 62% drop.
-
Expected numbers, glad Thor had a nice jump.

Sexy numbers all round.
And 4.6m for Thor - yay! 200m is locked.

Everything's happening according to plan! CF could do 75m+ 2nd weekend - wow!
Looks set to top The Hunger Games - which I never would have predicted. Totally deserved as it's a much better movie.

Lol, we've managed to turn even another thread into a Marvel/DC contest.

Compared to TDK? Definitely. But compare Thor 2 to TDK then compare TDKR to Thor 2. I dunno, I take films on their own merits, despite what I was hoping they would be. The extreme exception to that rule would be Batman & Robin, which I took personally.
I rate films on how much I enjoyed them. Thor 2 has daylight on TDKR as far as I'm concerned.

You like it that much? Or you dislike TDKR that much? I like it a lot, but Thor 2 gets pretty silly in places for me.
A bit of both. I loved Thor 2 - did not expect to love it that much. Obviously, Loki made the film. TDKR was a huge disappointment.

Take Thor 2, X1 and TIH off that list and I'm with you.
Thor 2 stays.
-
Yesterday, I'd have just been happy for it scrape over 150m. Great turn around.
-
Thanks.
So,
70.5/52.5/35 = 158M
Pretty much, while I would love it if it got the 2D OW record, I just can't see it.

Damn, Tele, you're quick with the thread title change.

Expected, similar Friday (+ previews) to Saturday drop as Hunger Games.
Good solid numbers.
