Weekend tickets here in Brazil usually go from R$18 to R$26 (5 to 7 dollars), but I can get student tickets for R$3 to R$6 (0.8 to 1.6 dollars) on Mondays for all major movies.

anyway, i really wanna make another list because i've never included LoTR in any of my top 100 lists, but i rewatched the trilogy last week and now i feel very dumb for never noticing how amazing it is

i gotta ask this
are you guys still sure that the oscar ceremony is made by old straight cis white males who are not considerate of minorities?
just say yes or no

I'll probably end in 10th or something like that if these numbers hold... I guess I still have 42 attempts to win a week this year.

I came to this thread thinking "wow, 4 pages, lots of people liked it" just to find out half of the thread was a discussion about skylines.
Anyway, I loved the movie and everything but for a whole hour I thought Jack was a girl, I don't know if it was because of the hair, but he really looked like a girl. I was so certain of it I actually started elaborating theories about why she was being called a he, I though Joy was pretending that he was a boy so that Old Nick wouldn't rape him, and that's why she would never let him go near Jack. But then even the cops were saying "he" and "boy" and I realized, in the middle of the movie, that he really was a boy. It was one of the strangest feelings ever.

I think the question is totally answerable though but no worries man.
Maybe the answer is Yes. But what's the purpose of this question if you have to pretend PG-13 and R rated movies are not different from each other?

Post-superbowl Valentine's Day Sunday just before President's Day Holiday will make this a very interesting weekend.

I must say I'm a bit disappointed with the number of players... Only 47? There are hundreads of members in this forum predicting movies all the time, but only this few care about the Derby? Why?

This past weekend was a bit of an anomaly - there's a handful of these every year that seem to defy patterns and expectations. In another prediction game I used to play, these would be the weeks where someone totally random (who usually finishes 57th) wins.
Those anomaly weekends will be the ones responsible for eliminating the best players from the Tournament lol

Tournament is over for me, moviecriticguy is gonna win this round.
I'm also out of the Top 5 for January.... meh

Food Wars was awesome, but the last few episodes about Autumn Selection got really tiresome because of all the dishes' explanations and reactions.
btw, is anyone following Haikyuu second season?

I give up. I'm watching movies I'm not intested in for a silly reason, and most of them I'm not enjoying.
1. Inside Out
2. Peanuts
3. The Force Awakens
4. The Gift
5. Paddington
6. Carol
7. The Martian
8. Turbo Kid
9. Creed
10. Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter
I won't go further than this, the rest is not worth mentioning.
There's still a few stuff I genuinely want to see, but I won't do it in just a week.

This was fine, but still a bit boring. It's beautiful and well acted, of course, but it dragged a bit sometimes, I wanted more and most of it was so not-engaging for me.
