Actual minutes don't give one as good a comparison to how sales goes up and down during a day or an ability to compare it to other films and how they performed at the same time and day.

For comparison on the Monday of their release week (I don't record a lot of Monday comps since it's still early)

    SM: HC:  15 avg (11am),  20 avg (3pm)

    WW:   15 avg (1pm)

    Thor:  13.5 (12pm)

    It:       20 avg (9pm)

So right now JL is doing better

These are actual presale numbers from ONE chain. Maybe it is way underperforming comparatively at other chains? I am building a database of these numbers for easy lookup currently. Should have it in a nice form soon, can't share publicly of course due to Deep Wang's concerns.

Here's the previous movies so far

so fairly close to the accurate then. Would definitely be weird this chain has great sales and another has complete oposite. You should think they are about the same no matter what chain it is. These numbers are really good for JL

Where would you say JL opens to considering its even ahead of BvS and SS and 90% ahead of WW ?

    That sound huge to me

Love getting close to release week as we finally start getting to the point where comps are relevant and the same time before release. Deep Wang Saturday update:

    - JL presales slightly above BvS at same point in time (Monday was the last BvS update, so that will be the final comp we get before Thursday), about 30% ahead of Suicide Squad and 90% ahead of Wonder Woman same point in time before release

    - Fifty Shades does not look to be the mega presale monster anymore, sold less than 100k so far

    - No idea what to make of Coco, will wait a week to see

    - Wonder just stalled after that surge it had, remember last week when I said it was the same gross as Orient Express, its still almost literally the same number, added almost nothing this week

    - Roman Israel up to 8 tickets sold

    - TLJ is at about 75% of Rogue One's final number. Unlike other movies, Star Wars does not double on release week as presales are more frontloaded

This is more like it. But what is with these conflicting reports. How was DW Thor numbers was they accurate ?

    It'll open over 100 million.

Weird, I remember you in the JL thread mentioning time after time how those movies make big massive bucks in spite of the RT score. (Which there's some truth to it.)

JL doing less than WW stateside would be both funny and fitting.

Hey newsflash WW BEAT ALL Superhero movies this year plus major releases over the years. So what are you even saying with this ?

  5. ha ha DC haters are just as pathetic as ever. The reactions is not mixed they are positive. Mixed is if some of the reviews are negative. All of them are positive with only one out right negative one from the guy that had an article out saying it was bad before the embargo broke. Says a lot of that guy. Every superhero movie has weak villains except TDK. Even WW was said to have that that in every review.

I don't mean to remind people of this, but the "positive" reactions on social media to BVS and SS were fan reactions. No media member, blogger or otherwise, really weighed in until just before those films opened.

Who knows how they'll react today. But I know how this forum will react. And it's going to be stupid.

yeah because there are CHILDISH people here that are such crazy people that want this to fail. I have no clue what is up with such people. Why do they get pleasure seeing what other people enjoy to fail. Thats just horrible selfish toxic people

Up until 2013 and Man of Steel it was just banter.

Then, the man of murder thing came out and it turned into a shitstorm.

WTF are you babbling about if you want Man ofMurder see Donners Superman 2. Where he KILLS Zod turned HUMAN with a smile. WTF were you then crying Man of Murder. MoS Supes did it with huge remorse and to protect a human family from dying. You have double standard coming out of your ears!

Yeah, but don't you think that's kind of an issue? I mean BvS wasn't exactly a box office behemoth, so if JL isn't getting anywhere near the same hype that doesn't bode all that well. Could struggle to 300, which is bad for DCEU's Avengers film any way you spin it. Unless WW really is the new trend for DCEU and it has a not huge opening, but great legs.

you are obviously living in the basement. Ah i remember you now. You are a DC universe hater. So of course you talk negatively about JL

Which is probably why so many DCEU or DCFU or whatever fans on twitter went bat shit last night when early Ragnarok reactions were very good.

To add more fuel to the fire.  YT views for the latest JL trailer after a day and a half  are at 11.27m on the main WB channel.  Thor's 2nd trailer on the main Marvel channel after 24 hours was at

    14.35m

DC universe is a younger brand compared to Marvel. If you don't get that then you are deluded. YT views are you for real
