  1. In 2011 when the same situation was like this year on weekend 23-25th all movies from top 10 (8 movies also 2 premieres) had drops like 82-90%. First movie Listy do M. very popular there (7 times in a row top of chart) dropped 87% but its previous weekend adm was 120k not 385k like Rouge One so I guess falling more like 90-95% is possible. Altough the trend since 2011 and numbers of tickets sold is rising year-by-year, we could see some kind of "phenomenon" and this will be drop less than mentioned before 87%. After that weekend we have next with limited cinemas opening hours too and in 2011 top 10 has awesome increase but not so good numbers as years with long weekend like New Year's Eve on Friday or Thursday. Listy do M. remain their 1st place for 8th time and increase 173% (I can see Rouge One increasing about 250% because it will be his 3rd weekend not 8th), other movies increased from 114% to 293% and 2 premiers even more 398% and incredible 724% (but still their numbers were shitty) Forecast 23-25th (reasonable) (4 premiers on 23th and also 3 premiers on 25th) 1. Rouge One -93% 26,9k 2-3. Passengers, A Monster Calls new 6k 4. Pitbull. Dangerous Women -86% 5,8k 5. Królowa Śniegu 3 (some kind of animation) new 5k 6-7. Christmas Office Party, Collateral Beauty new 4k 8. Moana -90% 3,7k 9. Fantastic Beast... -88% 2,5k 10. Trolls -90% 2,05k Well shit I really don't know how new movies will manage over weekend. Passengers could either good as above or flop near FB numbers. Assuming great popularity of Rouge One and Pitbull I think both of them could have slice better drops maybe more like RO -87% 49,95k Pitbull - 80% 8,28k But I hope and bringing hope is important to Rebels that RO drop will be less than 90% and less than 85% for Pitbull. Still is gonna be one of worst weekend in year (similar to Easter weekend) but it has chance to beat 77k total from Easter with good performance of RO. In 2011 similar weekend was, I guess, the worst in industry history (well at least since previous such weekend - only 48k total)
  2. Saturday cinemas are closed whole day and on christmas day are closed till 3pm Most movies will drop 80-90% Rouge One after very good OW could drop most of them

  4. From Disney's press information ROUGE ONE OW 5-day adm 506 323 OW 3-day adm 384 228 Last year TFA has 3-day OW 789 568 but it has some midnight previews (they were on 0:01 on Friday so they included to weekend admissions) (-51,34%) in 3-day (-35,87%) in 5-day Although on Wednesday there were official previews so there were less shows (2/5 of normal shows) but there was discount day in biggest chain (every Wednesday) so I think Wednesday was 2x more crowded than official premiere day on Thursday. Considering I was thinking that last year TFA could crawl over 1 mln adm and it shocked me positively (end almost 3 mln adm) I am very optimistic about RO OW - we have to remember that is still the 2nd weakest weekend of year (or 3rd - Easter is very week too) - well it was before TFA premiere. It has plenty of days in Christmas and 26-31 is one of greatest period for cinemas in Poland. Just to remind premiers of Hobbit's trilogy - great success 10 day or less to 1 mln adm. That's why I think Rouge One should second 2016 premiere with 2 mln adm. Next weekend I expect huuuuge drop but healthy increase (but then New Year's Eve on Saturday won't help much though) weekend after and great performance during weekdays! 1st week total: 900k 2nd weekend: 50k (-90%) or worse (on Christmas Eve cinemas will be closed or maybe half day opened and then on 25th should closed whole day - so basically we have Friday also weak because of last call shopping and maybe half of Saturday but muted by preparing to the Supper) 2nd week total: 400k 3rd weekend: 150k 3rd week total (1 day is free day): 350k 4th weekend : 100k (can be less because of some premieres) TOTAL to 9th Jan: at least 1,5 mln adm to 1,8 mln adm

  7. Wow! Great for Pitbull. Dangerous Women Guys have you watched it? Polish movie in top 5 of UK box office haha ;P
  8. One more word about OW of Pitbull. Niebezpieczne kobiety. In dollars it has 6th best ever (behind Star Wars, 50 Shades of Gray, The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug, Shrek the Third and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies) About local hits well, it won't beat any of big 3 (Ogniem i Mieczem, Pan Tadeusz, Quo Vadis) but it has shot for place No 4 before Listy do M.2 (2 962 251). Also it can be first movie since Avatar in 2009 with 3 mln admissions
  9. Pitbull is already best selling movie of the year (admissions and gross too) and it is the first this year with sold more than 2 mln tickets. 2 130 852 Also this whole year is amazing. With a month more, there has been already beaten last year record with numbers of sold tickets. (44 695 011) Now we have 46 344 307 and counting. So this is best year after 1989 year and it has shot for 50 mln! With great performance of Pitbull (should add about 700-800k more) and coming soon premiere of Rouge One it is still possible - specially with hot time in theaters between X-Mas and New Year
